As for the food it's usually ok if you buy canned or boxed but if you buy meat or fresh fruit or vegetables most of the stuff is close to the expiration dates or past so always check the dates on everything. I've bought boxed meat from the frozen section that was two years past the expiration date and then they won't give you your money back without a receipt. also have bought ground beef several times that was spoiled and had been sprayed with red dye to make it look fresh but was brown on the inside (gross)! The store is usually pretty clean. There's no competition up here so most stuff is over priced and probably attained cheap because it's close to expiration date.

Sweet's is across the pedestrian bridge over Main St. on the second floor of the old Basin Springs Bath House. An iconic setting. I hate fudge, so I'll take my wifes word that it was spectacular. I did endulge with some other exquisite treats such as the peanut butter / chocolate bark, double stuffed and dipped cookies, milk chocolate bites with seasalt and a bag of chocolate covered espresso beans that kept my energy level up.
