We ordered from Lucky Star in the evening and were told that the delivery should be there within an hour. An hour and 15 minutes later our order arrived, barely lukewarm and incomplete. Upon calling the restaurant and going through a 5 minute faff while they tried to find our order, we were told that the rest of the food would be with us within 15 minutes. 40 minutes later (a full 2 hours after we had first ordered) we still didn't have all of our food, so we called again to cancel it as we no longer wanted it. We were told that it couldn't be cancelled as the delivery man was 'on his way', and was so late because he had other deliveries to make. When reminded of the promise that the rest of the order would only be 15 minutes, they could only apologise. Another 10 minutes later the rest of the order finally turned up. Upon opening it we found that it was stone cold and tasted horrible. We called again to get a refund on the late food (not even the whole order), as we felt that having waited more that 2 hours for an order, it should at least be satisfactory. The lady on the phone spoke to her manager, and informed me that he refused to give us a refund. I asked to speak to the manager, but he refused to speak to me. Apparently there was another manager (who wouldn't speak to me either) who said that they would give us one of the dishes free next time we order, but as we will not be ordering from here again, this was fairly useless. In conclusion, if you want a halfway decent Chinese on time and any sort of adequate customer service, STAY AWAY FROM LUCKY STAR. There are so many other good Chinese takeaways in the area, it's just not worth the hassle. read more
