However, unlike Aldi, most of the brands are clearly recognisable as the same stocked at any other supermarket. For the most part everything is priced significantly lower than your standard supermarket, or about the same as if all the goods were on special all the time. For example, a solitary can of Red Bull will only set you back $1.50 and a big bag of chips comes in around the $2 mark. However, I'd recommend a close inspection of expiry and use by dates, as it has a whiff of NQR about it, given the whole "clearance" element. The stock extends beyond food goods, with most of the stuff you'd find at your local supermarket and/or discount centre covered in the various sections. Among the more exciting discoveries was a huge range of piñatas for $18 a pop at the back of the store, including one that's a mermaid. Pretty cool, hey?

Warning: discounted lingerie is dangerous to women. If I'm not anywhere near Bridge Road and the outlets there then I head here, they have a pretty large range for women and a decent men and kids selection. I should also mention that they also have linen, quilts, pillows and blankets as well as bathroom products at bargain prices. Next time you find yourself in Myer or David Jones in the Bonds section keep in mind that a lot of this stock will find it's way to somewhere like TSL, sometimes it's worth waiting and saving your money for a bargain. The sales assistants are pretty helpful and seem to know a lot about the products and are always useful when it comes to navigating the sections.

Now they proud themselves on selling nice comfy undies (how many times have you seen Pat Rafter spitting out this line on TV?) but for those who haven't worn Bonds undies yet, please give it a go. But TSL is not just about undies, you'll find a broad range of products like flees, hoodies, t-shrts etc. The store itself is fairly big which allows a large variety of products and the staff are very friendly as well. In terms of convenience, it's right next to the Camberwell train station and close to Camberwell shopping. Heads up guys - even if you don't want to buy anything, the pictures of Rachael Taylor up on the wall, will make your visit worthwhile.
