I will say the woman who took our orders was actually nice and so was the man behind the counter. Whoever the other worker was, genuinely needs to be fired. He's rude and gives such a weird vibe we almost wanted to leave. The food just has low quality ingredients you can taste so it's not very good. The decor isn't terrible it's just strange. I heard this was a great burger place so I stopped on my way through Wichita Falls, Texas. When I…read morewent inside, I knew it was going to be an interesting experience. The place looks like it has been around for quite a while. The smell of a grill that's been used for many years is pervasive. But not in a bad way. And signage shows that this has been a beloved place for many years. I got the double meat cheeseburger and because I couldn't decide, I got a half basket of onion rings, which was 3 onion rings, and a half basket of French fries, also a root beer. I was the first person there when they opened. But within a couple of minutes, there were 2 others that from their conversation had been going there since the beginning of time. LOL. The cheeseburger was good, a little dry, but tasty. The onion rings were great. The fries were a little burnt unfortunately. The service was quite good. I'm glad I stopped just to hear about the history of the place from the 2 old-timers who were eating next to me.

Good basic food including burgers and steaks. Steak was prepared exactly as ordered and was well seasoned. I didn't even need to use sauce on it. Service was exemplary. As a non-regular I was welcomed with handshakes and conversation with the cook and the owner. The rest of the patrons were all regulars, it seemed, and all were outfitted in camo gear The surrounding town looks largely abandoned but the atmosphere inside the restaurant is warm and inviting. There are about a half dozen tables inside and a porch seating area beyond that, though on the night I visited temperatures rendered the porch moot.
