The office was in a charming historic building in down town Providence. Everything from the hallways to the elevator to the pendulum clock in the office just reminds of a more classical time in the history of Providence, perhaps a better time. Nikki is very kind and welcoming. She has a positive attitude. We sat with her and her father, Larry. They know how to ask all the right questions and they gave us a detailed and thorough consultation. I was really impressed with their professionalism. Best of all, the consultation was FREE! And here is how I know Nikki and Larry are trustworthy. They advised us against a specific business plan and showed us its shortcomings, although they could have made lots of money doing the paperwork for us. This shows integrity. Larry showed me how to do a simple task at city hall that would cost me a mere $10 instead of something that would have cost around $1000 a year. Give them a try and judge for yourself!

The ONLY way I knew was Overdraft notice!! These were over seas transactions dozens over 2 days, all individual charges for hundreds or thousands of dollar some over $2100 & $3200!! Again never stopped a SINGLE charge, fraud detection never kicked in, no phone call, text nothing! On hold for 40 mins to report the fraud. The VERY NEXT DAY they let same scammer put through $2124!! I call again on hold for 32 mins, after expressing my utmost disgust, getting a manager, they tell me they will escalate it & I will have my $ back in 24-48 hrs... & someone would call me w/ an explanation. I called 3 days after same deal... 7 days later NO money, no phone call!! SO after 10 days 5 phone calls 4.5 hours on the phone, and countless hours off the phone. I finally got "my money" back, supposedly. Quick accounting they STILL OWE me $448.62!!! Now mind you theft happened (NO fault of mine at all) on 2/22 my account was negative until 3/10!! Rent due & ALL bills due on the 1st... Yet I have -$5704 because CITIZENS Bank HAS NO FRAUD DETECTION WHAT SO EVER! Is the MOST FINANCIAL IRRESPONSIBLE BANK EVER. And can't be bothered to even call you back after 7 messages. Yet the Overdraft dept HARRASSED me for 5 days straight calling every hour on the hour starting at 8am!! I Hope NOBODY with a citizens bank account lives paycheck to paycheck or you could get evicted, car repoed, utilities shut off, C.C. late fees, Citizens Bank can RUIN YOUR LIFE! BTW I've been a financial auditor for over 20 years & some of my clients are the biggest banks in the world! They make it so easy. They send me a copy of my last year's return so I can see all the prior deductions and then I can fill in the current numbers for this past year. They also did my daughter's tax return for free last year. I drop off the packet with my new numbers and within two weeks I have my nice refund. I'd rather pay for this great service as opposed to trying it on my own and creating potential errors. Maybe I'll try next year!

Once it was all uploaded I checked a few times seeing if there were any notes or things posted on our 'to do' list. Nothing. i reached out to the office and I was told they would get to our info soon and would receive a call withing a week. A week passes- no call. nothing. I call back again. Apologies, they said they were busy wrapping up corporate accounts and withing a week, again, we would be contacted. Ok. gain, no call. I had to call again! This is how our relationship went for the rest of our communication in completing our taxes with their office. We were told that our taxes were complete. They asked us to submit our bank account information so they could submit our taxes. I drove to their office and dropped off a check so I was not charged any fees. The next day we received our RI ax return in check format in the mail?! What?! I called the office. Left a message with an employee. No return call. Call again and refused to accept not speaking to someone. Apparently someone mailed in our taxes without our signatures or our banking information! They said there was a mix up in the office?! Also they tried to blame all our return call issues on Covid. To be clear... they were not returning our calls BEFORE Covid started. I have used TurboTax for years. This was my first experience with paying someone for my taxes. Bad experience. We were sure to alert our realtor about the service we received and next year we will not be working with Jonathan Ucran.
