Awesome place! I have been to this place a few times now. The open kitchen concept is really cool! Gives customers a chance to see firsthand how their meals are prepared and a chance to talk with the cooks preparing their food. The food is awesome! The deconstructed grilled cheese is definitely a favorite and ordered each time we dine in. We have had a few different meals on the menu and each one has never disappointed. My husband and I both love food and we don't think twice about driving an hour or more to go to a favorite restaurant. Tonight we were tired and didn't want to go far so we ate local. We've been to Lucia's before and I have never taken the time to review. They definitely deserve it tonight. They were busy and short staffed, yet they all worked like crazy to keep the food coming. I've been to this restaurant a couple of times. I really liked the food. The deconstructed grilled cheese was something I'll probably try to replicate at home, because it was amazing and I live a fair distance away. However, when we were there this weekend, there was a large amount of water on the floor next to the self-serve drink area. There were a couple of rags that were balled up in the corner like they had attempted to clean it up. The tile floor was slippery and we were basically sitting in puddles. I was wearing shoes that were pretty non-slip, so I wasn't terribly worried about myself, but I wouldn't be surprised if someone else slipped and fell. And everyone had to go back to this area to get their own drink. It was also cold enough that I considered putting my coat back on. Not exactly the ambiance that I'd expect when we paid almost $100 for a meal for two people (pasta, appetizer, soft drinks). Hopefully this was a temporary problem and they've gotten some maintenance done, but they didn't even have a wet floor sign. read more

Very nice place. I've had the pizza before and enjoyed it. Staff was friendly and helpful. Spaghetti Bolognese and lasagna, neither were very good, very bland. The caesar salad was very good. $46 for lunch with water. You pick up your own food and drinks plus bus your table. We weren't impressed. read more

holy. smokes. absolutely delicious food with fantastic service as well - I had the coconut brodo gnocchi with oyster mushrooms and we started with the shrimp in lemon cream with fried garlic. Boyfriend got the rigatoni buttera which was killer as well. Their homemade italian bread is a beautiful addition to their dishes and we will most certainly be back to try more items off their menu. if I could give more stars I would definitely one of the best places I've been since moving out of the chicago area read more

Our first visit there, so we had a few questions. Service was friendly and very helpful. Our pasta dishes were excellent and serving sizes were generous . Salads and sides seemed pricey until we saw the work that went into the presentation. The quality of the food justifies the slightly higher prices. Exceptionally clean. I have now taken out from Kitchen's Unlimited ghost kitchen a number of times. Most recently we ordered from Lucia's. We had lasagna and Roman Carbonara. Both were excellent in both quality and quantity. I wish they had dine-in capabilities, but this works for now. read more

Passing through and my daughter Yelped Italian around Effingham. She said we should go to Lucia's because they seem to have good pasta. Walked into a casual, a little out of the way place. Ordered up front and went to sit at "the counter". Watched the chef/owner Gino make our food. Turns out Gino makes everything from the delicious bread (right there in the oven as we watched), to the pasta and the pizza. We talked as he made his beef bolognese for the week. Food was delicious and the service was friendly. Nice find in a totally unexpected place. Go say hi to Gino. Limited days and hours. read more

It is great to finally find a restaurant locally that makes amazing pizza and homemade fresh pasta. I've been looking for Italian food that was good for here.
