Swanky Italian restaurant with a separate, full vegan, so we tried it out on a recommendation from a friend.
My wife & I each ordered a couple of appies, a main course each, and a dessert to split. Everything was tasty, especially the dessert, and service was top-notch. We got:
-Mushroom bruschetta (£6.75). Simple but well-done. You got a piece of rustic bread toasted, topped with mushrooms, tomatoes and spinach, drizzled with balsamic and olive oil. Tasty. 4/5
-Spinach & avocado salad (£6.75). Pleasant salad with plenty of spinach and avocado, raw walnuts which don't work so well, 3 padron peppers, and pomegranate seeds. A little underwhelming but at least I got my greens in. 3.5/5
-Le Veneziane Gnocchi (£13.95). This was the best of the dishes we got: perfectly cooked gnocchi, with broccolini, red peppers, green beans, and a beautiful tomato and basil sauce. Excellent. 4.5/5
-Artichoke and saffron risotto (£14.50). Very tastily designed and perfectly cooked rice, with a few pieces of artichoke, marinated red peppers, and peas, with a few strands of saffron. The portion was relatively small, especially compared to the other mains at our table. Due to that, it left something to be desired, but it was certainly tasty. 4/5
-Biscotti cheesecake (£6.50). Honestly, this was one of the best vegan cheesecakes I've ever had. Beautifully textures, perfectly creamy, with a delectable base. Wonderful. 5/5
All in all, this place was fantastic. It's a little spendy, but worth it for what you get. Recommended. read more
