While I will say Mr…read more Irons did respond to my messages in a timely manner and overall the ruling ended up in my favor, I wouldn't say the quality of his services were worth the outcome. My biggest grievance with Mr. Irons was he reached out to me a year after the trial when I had a retainer in place to ask me a question if I thought my ex was going to re-file the conditions of our court agreement and then charged me $225 to ask me my opinion. When I confronted him and told him that I would like my entire retainer , he told me that it was in my best interest for him to send me an email asking if my ex was going to refile and therefore felt as if his consulting services were still in service. If I had known my ex was going to re-file I think he would've known that too. At the end I did not get my $225 refunded for the email he sent me. As a medical professional, I would never charge my patients if I was reaching out to them. I feel like this is exceptionally unprofessional and something that people should keep in mind when seeking his services. There's a very good chance you will be overcharged for emails and that while these email conversations take up to his time, they clearly do not value of $225 for his or your knowledge.

Mrs Patrick dismissed my case intending to refile and did it WRONG. The opposing attorney told her TWICE that she was doing it the wrong way. As a result my entire case was dismissed. I had to allow her to fix her mistake . The NC bar has already agreed she did indeed mess up. She lost the appeal and Rule of 60 (do-over) cases. As a result...I got nothing- no child support, alimony OR retirement. She has the least amt of liability insurance an attorney can get (100k) and NOTHING is in her name. I paid her over 50K- she had to do an appeal and rule of 60 for free. She now has several attorneys representing her, and their attorney fees are paid by liability insurance. She refused to settle or discuss a settlement. I never felt she had my back, intentionally put things off, and was a terrible advisor. We never had a meeting before mediation, she was never prepared, and always seemed lost when appearing in court, and was dominated by the opposing attorney. I do not recommend using her !

In fact, he knew what a mess I was going through. He didn't care and let other attorney draft the final papers and said, "this is the best you'll get." Well, when a business was sold later I got the rotten end of the deal because Mr. Tharrington let it be written that the proceeds to me be alimony. Therefore, the IRS received $60,000 they did not deserve which should have gone in my bank. I believe if it had not been written as such, the law states that I would have paid no taxes on sale of business in divorce.
