I'm really glad I took their advice. I took my relatively insignificant project to Metal Fabricators and they treated it like it was a six figure job. They were sincerely interested in finding a solution to my problem and did not quit until the solution was in hand. While they were researching my issue, I had a chance (unchaperoned) to look around the office at some of the products on display. What I saw were several examples of well crafted items, requiring a number of skills and abilities, well-deserving of display in a number of venues. Well.... I should have read the review 1st before going to this place…read more Amateur hour at its finest. I asked for simple cuts to some sheetmetal and I had marked where the cuts were to be made. I ASSUMED the cuts were going to be made ON THE MARKS ! ... crazy of me to think such a thing right ? No, man on phone said, we cut to a 1/8 " tolerance. so.. 2 cuts could be 1/4' different widths ! .. Dont expect any precision here. Guy said, if you wanted accuracy, you have to tell us beforehand ! Despite the short time in which we wanted the work done and the interruptions of record weather events (snow, ice, below freezing temperatures) the wrought iron railing was fabricated, powder coated and installed earlier than scheduled, with the installation crew waiting around to make sure the foundation was fully set prior to leaving. Beautiful work, professionally done by a great group of guys at a reasonable very competitive price.
