I am so glad that we picked Nero over the much bigger and busier Costa down the street. We were…read moredown in Berwick today and since it was raining and we were in need of a coffee, we decided to pop in for a drink. We sat at some armchairs in the middle of the cafe which were comfortable enough but the sofas in the front looked a lot nicer. However, they were all taken up by people who had already finished their coffee. I had a hot chocolate with whipped cream and marshmallows which really warmed me up after a cold stroll down Marygate. We also got 2 cakes. A chocolate brownie and a traybake. I had the brownie and it was delicious. Much better than the plastic ones they sell in my school canteen! There are lots of places to sit but the cafe has a cosy feel to it, unlike the busy Costa which is very cramped, despite being larger. The staff were friendly and efficient which is important to know if you were considering visiting. Caffè Nero will always be my first choice in Berwick as it was nice and peaceful, and offers good coffee. Very underrated if you ask me.

Seats in the window are limited but why anyone would want to sit there just to be stared at like a zoo animal, by passing benefit claimants who are jelous of your ability to afford a latte and brownie, is beyond me to be honest.

We went to the Honey farm while we were having a short break in Berwick, It is only about 10 min drive from Berwick Town Centre. And houses some fasinating facts about Bees. They also have some Bee exibits so you can watch the Bees at work and even seel some natural Honey products ranging from Jars of Honey Natural and flavoured, as well as Honey cake, and honey beauty products like lip balm etc. There is also some old buses for you to have a look around which is quite interesting and even a old double decker bus which as been made into a cafe which sells things like homemade scones and cakes which are beautiful. It is only a short walk up the road from The chainbridge and river so some fantastic river walks and picnic spots.
