Anyone who has been there will tell you that a present from a seagull is not lucky, they are massive birds with a fish based diet. Just sit under the umbrellas please! We sat at the picnic tables laughing at the tourists fending off seagull attacks and tucked into the best fish and chips ever. The chips are perfect mainly chunky, light and fluffy but with just enough wee crispy ones mixed through to keep everyone happy. But the reason you come to a fishing town to eat fish and chips isn't the chips! The fish here is spectacular. Fresh, meaty, flaky perfection encased in the most spectacularly crisp gold batter. I'm salivating just typing this. They make their own ice-cream and I have only ever heard really good things about it, am pretty sure it wins awards. But I just come for fish and chips.
