we ordered a washing machine and a stove to be delivered on the same day. Washer i was delivered at 7:30 in the morning. Lowes says that the stove is on the truck and the driver say that it's not then you call Lowe's and they tell you a fulfillment team will call you within 24 hours. Unacceptable. I have no stove on a Friday and I have to wait for them to call me. I will never use Lowe's again. read more

I'm sorry I tried to shop at Lowe's this morning. They had a huge display of potted fall plants located at the entrance. Very pretty, so I choose 2 plants. Took them all the way tru the store to the garden center to pick up a chrysanthemum. Then I tried to pay. What should have been a pleasant experience turned into an unpleasant one. No one knew the price. No bar codes, they said take them up front, so I did. Only to find all the checkouts were self serve. I told the sole employee monitoring the checkouts that I needed a price. Her comment "why did you come here to ask that" so I relayed the whole episode to which she then said "they should know the price in the garden center". Finally someone from outside showed up with the price. The Lowe's employee just kept telling me that I complain too much and that most stores these days have hundreds of items with missing prices. They said that's just the way it is now and I need to deal with it. Well, i normally shop at Ace Hardware, items are priced, and I always get great customer service at Ace. I won't be returning to Lowes for anything. Next year when I want to buy spring plants I'll go to a plant nursery. read more

My dryer broke and I needed to get a new one last week. I went to Lowe's with all of the specs for height- depth- width and explained to the lady that I had a pedestal- just needed the dryer. My current pedestal was in perfect shape- and was 15 inches high. The dimensions were important and very specific as there are cupboards above the dryer and washer where we store laundry detergent etc. I told the salesperson that I had a pedestal that was perfectly fine and was told- ok! All you need is the dryer- oh and all the other parts that you pay for that are necessary to make the dryer work. The dryer I wanted was a Whirlpool which was 38 inches high- so we were all set- Or so I thought. I paid for the dryer and left. This was on Wednesday. Delivery was scheduled for Sunday morning and my phone rang at 8 am with the delivery guy telling me that he couldn't put the new dryer on the pedestal I had used for the old dryer. Why not? Just not allowed he says. So, I tell him to go ahead and deliver the dryer and you can take the old one out. I call Lowe's- explain this situation to the next salesperson who says he will go back and find out if they have the pedestal for $300.00- no kidding- and that they could deliver it on Monday- I asked him to make sure it was the correct height and again- gave the dimensions. Yes, ma'am- you are all set. So, 300 dollars out the door and another day to be wasted waiting on delivery- (sometime between 8 am and 8 pm! Nice guys!) Sunday delivery of the washer happens and the guy who is to install it says he can't seem to get the hose unscrewed from the wall- (the old dryer had a steaming function). I offer him the use of a wrench- but no- he doesn't want to try that and advises me to call a plumber. He leaves the new dryer in the garage- and says- sorry...No kidding! Wait, it gets better! So, Monday morning comes and another call from the delivery people- they have the pedestal. I explain to him that I will need him to also hook up the dryer- he has no idea that the guy from yesterday did not do that and we exchange a few heated words on the inefficiency of this transaction. I finally say- please- just come and bring me my 300-dollar pedestal and hook up my dryer which is in the garage. To his credit- he does come- he is able to unhook the hose from the wall and he is able to hook up the dryer and set it on the pedestal. He says he is not sure why the other guy couldn't do it- but maybe he was nervous. Okay? I resume my activities in the kitchen as he works to install the new dryer and he calls for me. You got to be kidding me... The dryer is now TOO TALL to fit in the space where it was due to the extra 1 inch on the new pedestal. Can you imagine my frustration at this point? I remain calm- ask him if the dryer is usable and set up properly- as I was to leave on a trip the next day and had a lot of laundry to do since I had been without a dryer since Wednesday of the week before and anticipated the new one to be ready to go by today. - He says yes, takes the old dryer and the pedestal that would have worked perfectly fine, and is on his way. When I called Lowe's I spoke to a sales associate and then ask to speak to the manager. I explain all of the above to the manager and his response is "Well, what do you want me to do about this?" No kidding. I said, " well, I would like you to promise me that I can come in there with the dimensions again and speak to a competent person and order a new dryer and pedestal that will fit. And, I would like to return the old one. And, that should all be able to happen on the same day- He says, "I can't promise you that." He explains to me that I only have 30 days to do this and I tell him that I need them to come back today if I am going to be within that time frame due to travel. He says he can't help me- but maybe I should call the warehouse. I tell him I will find someone to be here on a particular day next week and he says-"I can't guarantee that they will deliver it on that day." By now, I am exhausted, and feel totally unheard- I work in the people business and our policy is the customer is always right- not so with Lowe's. I must say- I will never recommend this store to anyone again. I cannot tell you how disappointing and frustrating it was to work with all three of these folks- Management was far from helpful- in fact, they were condescending and useless in finding a resolution. Go to Best Buy or Home Depot folks- save yourself a few grey hairs and a lot of aggravation. read more

Super frustrating that they never have a cashier. Why should I have to scan $600 plus of materials myself every single time I come in here. Especially after 7 employees were standing next to me talking and I am scanning numerous boxes of tiles and cement box myself. Ridiculous. read more

This place is just goofy. Twice now I have placed online orders only to be told the items I ordered are not available. Even though it says they're in stock. This last time I went, it took three people to figure out how to fix my order because some of the items were apparently not in stock. I then walk over to the section and find two of the items. I walk over to the checkout and check myself out. These people are useless. read more

Sad customer service. I had to order a kids play set because the one they offered was not in stock currently... ok I ordered it to be delivered in 5 days 14 days later. No delivery, no call, no one accepted responsibility, and no one even said they were sorry. I have been on the phone now 5 different times all of which had at least 15 minute hold time. I have taken 2 days off of work to be there to accept the delivery. As there is no place to deliver the 450lbs set without someone being there to unlock and open the gate. Everyone has been pleasant at least. Just unacceptable way of doing business. They have lost my business. And if I could return the play set I would... but they have to deliver it first and then I would have to some how get the 450lbs set back to the store. read more

Mike B. We ordered new granite for our kitchen counters and new backsplash, as well as lighting fixtures, as part of a major whole-house remodeling project. As opposed to another store we dealt with, our experience with Lowes was excellent. JR in kitchens, Mason in windows, and Brianna in the front went out of their way to take care of us. As is typical with a major project, a couple of glitches occurred, but they promptly took care of them. The only problems were in the flooring/backsplash department. Four times we went there and each time, no one was in the department. Twice, the people in the service department called for assistance, but no one came. Overall, a good experience. read more

Customer Service wouldn't check the shelf for a ceiling fan for us - she said go online. We go home, find it online, and guess what? It's in stock at the store and she was just too lazy to get it for us. So we purchased online and picked it up later in store. Silly... We go back, this time looking for an interior basement door. The person standing in front of the desk was demeaning and made us feel stupid because our description must not have been good enough for her. She lacked manners, a name tag, and wasn't even wearing a Lowe's uniform. She didn't care to help us so we ran away from her department because we felt like we were bothersome for just being in the same room as her. Not a good experience on either occasion. Considering returning the washer/dryer and ceiling fan and cancelling the credit card already. Oh well. read more

If you're attempting to visit this particular Lowe's location make sure you have amazing car insurance and are a really cautious driver because trying to get in & out of this place is a nightmare! I almost always get hit every single time because of the horrible design (so stay in the farthest right side lane, you'll see a small sign for Lowe's traffic) & stupidity of WalMart shoppers not comprehending their traffic lane goes left. Anyways, I recently went here searching for a garage door & wound up having an annoying yet helpful experience. I had tried to use the companies website to order my door before wasting my time driving through construction but the site does not offer large sizes ( such as 8x16). However you can get them if you make an appearance, now getting a price quote on one is next to impossible! An older man named Joe (who is amazing!) was kind enough to search the site in hopes of providing me with a quote but his computer wasn't working. So after calling the company directly for me (Joe was very clear on the make & model, size of what I wanted but whomever took the call couldn't provide him with any info) I had to wait until 8:30/9:00 that night for Pella to send a fax with my quote. The cost is astronomical!!! Over $336,000.000 for one door! And all I wanted was the most basic hardware & color- nothing fancy...this was the quote without the 15% off sale they had but even with the discount it was outrageous! I was also annoyed because I had opted to install it myself, which should have lowered the price but in this case raised it- seriously, wtf??? I feel like Joe had gone above & beyond with his outstanding customer service. He was so polite and helpful, he even let me keep the garage door catalog (which had no price quotes) and suggested getting the Lowe's credit card so I could save an additional 5%...I felt bad for not going back in & buying the door from him after all the hassle he went through but another company was able to give me what I wanted for less than $2,000.00 so you can't really blame me. read more

I shop here ALL THE TIME and have purchased everything from water heaters to custom Pella doors to marble countertops to backyard fence to nearly every light fixture in my house. There are some wonderfully helpful and knowledgeable people there: Joe (now retired) and Roy in millwork; Karen in lighting; Katie & Jocelyn in kitchen design, John in appliances... and there also are one or two who are less helpful. The worst part is navigating the Walmart traffic, so I use the back entrance. Problem solved. The Lowe's card gets me 5% off of every purchase and gives me a good way of keeping track of all my purchases. No store is perfect, but at Lowe's, they usually try to be helpful. read more

They now changed there policy as of 5/17/2019 dealing with all power tools and out door power tools. So they will not take anything back and make you have to jump through hoops to get something fixed. Just to spend more money on your broken tools. I would not buy anymore tools at Lowe's ever again. read more

I am writing this review after keeping my silence for two years concerning a purchase of windows and siding on a rental house my husband and myself own. Lowes hired incompetent contractors and our siding was installed incorrectly, very shoddy and also has blown off the house multiple times. We hired an independent contractor to fix their problems and they refuse to reimburse our payment because we are out of warranty. They put bandaids on the house and never fixed it properly. Never ever have Lowes in Stow, Ohio install anything for you. read more

Due to water damage we had to remodel our kitchen. At first, we were so happy with Lowe's. When the installer ripped out our kitchen without inspecting the new ones which were damaged greatly they were nice and helpful. We were given a Project Manager who appeared to really have our best interest at heart. She was attentive and "honestly" told us she did not feel that the company would compensate us the way we should be. So with that, we pulled our order and went with a new company. She kept telling us there is no formula to compensation that it's all negotiable... until it's time to negotiate. Not only did we have no kitchen for 2 months but they damaged our microwave and messed up the special order backsplash (which was technically a separate project). When it came time to talk money they all seemed surprised we wanted compensated and the back splash repaired. The nice and sweet Project Manager was short and very clearly tired of us. There was no negotiation. It was this is your final offer. So in the end we have to pick- money to buy and install a new microwave (which was 6months old) or fix the backsplash. When asked about their products being guaranteed the supervisor said "well yes but only to a point." I assume that means we guarantee our work done properly- not the mistakes. So highly disappointed in this store and the experience. A lesson learned- stay away from "the big box" read more

Reviews are hard. Because Im not going to tell you about the 20 times Ive been to Lowes and had a fine time. Im going to tell you about this one time I was their and annoyed so much, I must tell the world about it. So, the wood cutting machine is beautiful for people who dont have time or the tools to do it on their own. The first guy that helped me carried my 4x8' piece of wood and even selected a piece that wasnt warped- amazing! The guy doing the actual cutting had nothing but attitude! The entire time "we shouldn't do this" "this is to many cuts" "wah wah wah" Im sorry, but this is your job. You have no room to complain. I should complain, you hacked up one piece so badly I will never be able to use that. And I had to pay for that mess! And the cuts (.25¢ each) to make that mistake. So after the nightmare and frankly sheer embarrassment of this experience, I flee the area to check out and pick the only lane open with the light on. She is talking to another employee and says "oops I left my light on!" And turns it off. Lowes- what is going on with your customer service?! You need to have some meetings and perhaps teach your staff what will get them bad reviews. Forever more, I will only go to Home Depot to get my wood cut. They are nice, they appreciate my business. read more
