NATIONWIDE: Dogs are allowed at Lowe's Home Improvement! We love that they are pet friendly because there's always a reason to buy supplies and why leave your well-behaved dog at home? Brie was a big hit with shoppers and the staff! Dogs can walk around as long as they are leashed. They can also be in a carrier or in the shopping cart. We laid down a blanket in the cart so Brie is more comfortable. We have also walked her on-leash and she was fine. We all know hardware stores have a lot of activity, so keep an extra eye on people and large machines.

See, here's the thing. We've been conditioned to believe that only the giant big box conglomerates…read morecan give us what we need. Since most mom and pop stores have disappeared, that's true, to a point. But sometimes you need specialized attention that you can't get at the big boxes. My first house was built around 1915. Some of the trim had been damaged at some point and I ready wanted to replace it with original wood. Of course no one carries such old pieces. On a whim I stopped in here and after some searching way in the back, they actually had it, or something reasonably close to it. Impressive. Unfortunately the store itself was a dump. No merchandise, poorly organized, overpriced. So I rarely went here. Recently I wanted to fertilize my lawn. I researched the big box fert programs and they were quite expensive. I found a program ACE uses which is identical to the big box program but considerably less expensive. Walking in I immediately found a well lit, fully revamped store. The shelves were well stocked and their prices weren't bad. Not great. But they had the fert in stock. I even had a great conversation with the cashier. I love that kind of personalized approach. Yeah, it's out of the way. Yeah, they may not have what you are looking for. But this place is a jewel. And with the revamped, refreshed store, you may be surprised to find a new place to shop. Oddball material, competitive pricing, and old school customer service. It's certainly worth the trip.

Staff was extremely helpful and friendly. Took the heavy bags of salt out to my car. Went above and…read morebeyond. Would definitely recommend. Huge selection of products. Competitive prices

Marty is without question the rudest most obnoxious person ever to own a hardware store! I have a…read moreEcho chainsaw that is N.I.B. from a couple of years ago and remained that way due to circumstance. I finally assembled it and fueled and oiled it according to the limited instructions. I could not get it started, following the meager instructions explicitly. I took it to Marty / County line Hardware. First thing out of his mouth was "You didn't buy it here." I have however, purchased other expensive equipment from him in the past. He begrudgingly took it in for a "diagnosis." I got a call an hour later that it was ready. I said, "Gee that was fast, what was wrong?" He said, "You flooded it." I immediately went and picked up the saw. The charge was $23.00 (fair enough). I asked, "Just what did I do wrong." Marty said arrogantly, "I already told you, you flooded it." I asked for further instruction as to what I was doin wrong and was met with, "The new saws are like fuel injection and you used too much choke." (Since when does fuel injection have choke?"). He then proceeded to tell me that anybody over 70 probably didn't have the strength to start it anyway. BTW, I have been successfully operating chain saws for over 60 years. The newer saws DO have a different specific starting sequence not clearly indicated in the manual. He could have been far more helpful in advising me. As per usual, a subsequent online search yielded far better results that Marty was able to provide (with much less attitude)! NEVER AGAIN!!!
