I cannot, in good conscience, recommend this particular Lowe's location. If I could give bellow 1 star I truly would. Prospective customers would be far better served patronizing Home Depot, where the standard of customer service is demonstrably more attentive, responsive, and professional. If you're considering getting a Furnace, do not go to Lowe's in Farmington, New Mexico I ordered a new furnace and they sent a company from El Paso Texas to do it , Mechanical Technologies (who they are still using!! ) and they incorrectly installed it and just about killed a household of people with the carbon monoxide carbon dioxide fumes. Came back to "fix it "and made it worse and completely ruined the inside of a brand new furnace and then decided they didn't want to replace it. Finally, after much arguing, they replaced it and as far as getting any compensation or any accountability, there is none. This happened November 4. It's a situation with a room full of incompetent people that sell things basically. . I've tried repeatedly to deal with these people to get some accountability and now we're going to have to lawyer up . I gave them every opportunity to make this right, now it will cost them. They just don't care. It's not like a Windows crooked or a door that won't open and shut they almost killed an entire household, full of people and two dogs, and don't care. I literally had to wait 20 minutes (no exaggeration!) to get my $72 change back from my purchase. Needless to say I was quite upset and almost called the sheriff. In addition to my waiting the Native American, white hating, employee decided this was all my fault and had the biggest B attitude. I couldn't believe how they treated their customers. A year ago I had Lowe's install cabinets for my kitchen. I have been fighting with them to fix the mess they created. My stove is on top of my counter! In a correctly installed kitchen, the stove SHOULD fit in between the counter top, not mine. I also had to 'Pull" pieces off my stove to accommodate that it fits, I couldn't even close the drawers! This of course, has cost me some money for my contractors to "wedge" it off the floor so it can fit on top of the counter top, I have tried for a year to get anyone to do anything about it, so now I am getting a lawyer. Stopped in to pick drywall sheets. Found sheet they were stacked above. Asked for assistance was told in a minute. They were moving materials and will be with you. Waited for 15 minutes observed workers in back gathered talking and laughing. We approached worker for assistance he had a attitude stated there is on 1 forklift and he wasn't qualified to operate one. We observed 3 forklifts 2 were in operation and waited for another 20 minutes in t mean time went to look for other supplies when returned asked my partner if they helped. Nothing. I noticed other customers coming in were provided assistance. We were waiting, asked again. Waited for few more minutes we decided to go to home Depot as we were leaving worker were in front gathered around a female customer socializing and petting her dog what a customer service. read more

We purchased and had installed a washer and dryer from Lowe's in Farmington, NM a couple of weeks ago and we were very dissatisfied with the installation. Everything was hooked up and the guys were friendly, but spoke no English which wasn't a problem because he had a translator on his phone but when we first ran the washer, it was totally out of balance. They have not leveled the machines. My dad is 93 and I have very severe arthritis so having to level the machines was almost impossible for us. We have usually had good experience with Lowe's. What I take issue with is the horrible freight companies they choose. We purchased a pellet stove, and were given a delivery date of December 3. Today is December 12, and we are still waiting. I've used the tracking for NSD, and they appear to be content to move the item every three or four days. It took then four days to go from Denver to Aurora. That's 15 miles. According to the tracking, it just sat there for the next four days. I might consider being more understanding if they tried to blame it on the inclement weather, except for the fact that the bad weather didn't start until December 8, and only lasted about a day or so. Like I said, Lowe's does okay, but they seriously need to examine the freight companies they give their business too. I'd like to have my stove before winter ends. read more

We go to Lowe's a lot. The employees are great. Today we are so very dissatisfied with the manager. We had a ticket for a product and the manager had to retrieve it from a locked place in full view of us and the cashier. His phone rang he he answered and spent about 10 minutes on his phone with a customer who wanted information. Our poor cashier kept apologizing for the wait. We are just standing watching the manager as he talked. Obviously the customer on phone who was not buying anything in the store was a priority rather than cash paying customers. They admittedly did a poor job during the installation and came out and said they would fix after three times of rescheduling they just decided they weren't going to fix it. Ordered curbside pickup for a few items, I came in the evening at 8pm. When I called, they told me no one is available to bring out my items. The whole purpose of ordering curbside pickup is to avoid going out into the crowd during a pandemic! I opt to come back the next day. Next day I arrive and no one answers the curbside pickup #, I called about 10 times, finally someone from customer service answers, takes my order number then puts me on hold for 20 minutes. After 20 minutes of being on hold, she picks up the line and asks how she can help me, then puts me back on hold!! Obviously this store can not provide curbside pickup service. They should remove it as an option from the website if they cannot fulfill orders. I find this stores layout to be more accessible and with a greater variety of things I want and need in stock. They maintain a good seasonal department with unique and practical products placed side by side. The staff they employ are more accessible and tend to be very helpful. read more

I spoke with three people telling me they could trim the edge of a interior door slab for me. I drove 30 minutes from my house and spoke with an employee at the store who pointed me in the proper direction to have my door trimmed. I eventually arrived at my destination only to find the only piece of wood cutting equipment they had was a ripper saw. That would completely shred my door. After speaking with an employee who actually knew what was going on he pointed me in the direction of alpine lumber who could actually handle the job I was asking. I feel bad for the actual knowledgeable employees there having to deal with the lot of ignorant, incompetent coworkers in their midst. read more

No one in this store seems to know where anything is or what's in their inventory. I had sent my son with his work truck to pick up an assembled picnic table. When he got there, he asked where the tables were. The employee that he spoke with said that they were sold out of all assembled and unassembled picnic tables. When I went the next day, they had a few assembled and several unassembled tables but the employee could not find them in the system to purchase one. Another employee was able to find them, however it took a very long time for someone to retrieve it from a top shelf and get it too the front. The guy that did get the table down and load it had a very good attitude and was going as fast as he could with his backed up orders. Long story short, I think that the employee that told my son that they were out of tables, just didnt want to do his job. It is incredibly frustrating because we ended up having to get the unassembled and shoving it in the back of an suv and it....was....heavy!!! They wanted $79 to deliver it to my home in town which is ridiculous! All of it could have been avoided had that one employee not lied and done his job. I do not recommended this store and will be going elsewhere for all of my home improvement projects. read more

I'm so tired of multiple trips to HD only to find out they are out of commonly stocked items, no knowledgeable sales help, etc. They don't restock the shelves for days even when they have the inventory and think it is just fine for customers to wait a half hour or more while they do it. It's easier to order it online from Lowes and drive to Farmington and pick it up than it is to try to get an order together at the HD Durango store. I thought I'd be able to call HD and check on availability of of a single sku and even that doesn't work. If they answer the phone to begin with, they can never find anybody in that department to answer the call. Leave a message, lol; even the manager does not return phone calls. They need a little more safety rules for moving heavy stuff through the store when customers are present. While reading a label on the shelf in the garden hose section 6/6 at 4pm in the Farmington NM store, an employee was rolling a large piece of equipment through the aisle by himself. It was tall and he could only see around one side at a time and rolled it right into me. Knocked my leg out from under me and I had to get my shoe off as it felt like my foot was cut. It was reddened but not cut up. I felt really bad for the young man as he didn't have a guide or spotter to warn him of customers and he was pretty upset. The foot hurt, but I didn't make an issue of it and left to get home and off the foot. Sure thing the next morning when swelling and bruising set in, had 2 obviously broken toes. I don't blame the poor employee, no way he could look around both sides of the item he was rolling, he felt bad enough, but they do need to have someone helping when the store is that full and busy. Doesn't change my shopping habit or preference as it's a great store, my wife calls the store my alternate home as it is. read more

I go to Lowe's often, because I am remodeling a camper. I go there several times a month to get supplies when needed. Last week, I went to go get some stick and peel tiles that I had already started a project on, come to find out they discontinued them! So I couldn't get the rest I needed. My fault for not buying in bulk initially, but when I asked an employee about it and asked if he could order some for me, he disappeared for ten minutes and I eventually found him talking to another co-worker, ignoring my inquiry...so I decided to leave the store and go somewhere else. Today, I went in today to buy a sink faucet and some ceiling/floor trim. I had a question about the trim so I looked around for an employee, there were none near me so I went a couple sections over to find an employee, where he was talking to his co-worker. I asked him if he could help us, and he said he's busy, and someone else should be over there and he will come in a few minutes. So I went back, waited at the trim for over ten minutes and nobody was in sight. I am disappointed with the service I receive from Lowe's and I want to continue coming here but I don't want to have to deal with the poor service. read more

Ordered Carpet from Lowes in Farmington and was given an installation date. that Date came and went about 3 weeks later, we are on week four and our house is on the market still sitting with no carpet. After not receiving a call, we go in. The staff states we didn't order anything. How can that be when I have the receipt in my hand? We were then told it will be another week due to (larger, more income based jobs) are being put in front of our scheduled date. We chose to do the moving and clean out ourselves (based on the service so far) so our home has been in shambles since we first purchased this carpet going on 4 weeks ago. Today is finally carpet day and our 8am install is now set for 4pm. Rescheduled 3 times since we woke up this morning. On delivery day, I call to see where they were and learn they have been ordered and it could be anywhere from 10 to 20 days before they arrive. Typical Lowe's service. Got a serious tongue lashing from an employee in the cabinet department today for not making an appointment first. We were told by a very embarrassed and apologetic salesman, not that she was with another customer but, "She has like 5 other things she needs to be doing right now and she doesn't usually see people without an appointment." When she showed up she ripped us a new one for missing a previous appointment. We recognized that we missed an appointment, we own a couple of businesses and were just not able to walk away. We had apologized but really we were just dropping off the drawing that she could work from. She did not even need to spend any of her very important time with us. But I am just wondering, when did it become acceptable to dress down a customer much less one with a $12,000 order. If I had not invested so much time with this project I would go elsewhere. But, I will not be purchasing any of the other products for my home remodel at the Farmington Lowes. read more
