Whoever Dan is. He came to install a garbage disposal unit. He had to borrow the use of à few of my tools and flash light. The unit never worked correctly. The sink and dish washer backed up almost all the time. I was told by a girl in customer service that I or my wife must have done something to the unit. We had the unit replaced after a year of nonsense. The installer showed me two rolls of electric tape used the hold the unit in place. He also showed me that the hose was incorrectly installed. I may buy at Lowes. But only if I have no other choice. I will NEVER have someone from Lowes install anything again. read more

This is your typical Lowe's store. If you've ever shopped Lowe's before, then you should generally know what to expect.  This is a big box home improvement / hardware staff - a lot of stuff and a little light on staff. As with most Lowe's - you're generally on your own to find anything. Took us 15 minutes to check out because "Jenn" was soliciting coworkers to help her move. Took 5 minutes to explain to a coworker that things weren't working out where she was living. "???? flipped out and told me to get out" I have a place but I need help moving my stuff" My coupon wasn't working so she reluctantly called for some help. When they told her that someone was coming to help her, when she got off the phone she said, "great, my least favorite person is coming to help". She did nothing to call for anyone to open the other register and they were backed up 7 people deep. One of the first times they actually had enough treated lumber inside to get what we needed. It's worth the drive to Menards not to have to deal with this atmosphere. read more

Took them 45 minutes to get us 44 block.. for 25 minutes I don't even think they knew we were waiting because the lady that checked us out didn't tell anyone. I had to call in and then they sent one person out that couldn't drive a fork lift. But it wouldn't have mattered if they could because no one had the keys for the forklift or the gate. It's getting worse and worse every year. read more

We recently bought a house and have purchased all of the replacement appliances here and they were delivered straight to our home and brought inside for us. Doing a house renovation isn't the easiest thing to go through and this Lowe's located in DuBois, PA didn't make things any easier. In fact, they made it more difficult than need be. My s/o and I hired a contractor to do the work while we provided the material such as flooring, lighting, tile, paint etc. We chose this Lowe's location to get those things. What a mistake. From our first in-store pickup we had issues. We were notified our order was ready for pick up so we went the same day. At the store we were only given a partial part of our order and an unknown whereabout of our other items. One of the items they did have for us to take was the vanity for our bathroom. When they pulled it up to the front of the store, the box it came in was torn like it had been handled carelessly. We didn't feel comfortable taking it without looking at the vanity itself to see if it had damages, since the box was heavily torn. As suspected, the vanity was damaged. On our second pick up for a different order we placed, were informed, as in the first one, that our items were ready for pick up. We headed to the store and got told to go outside and standby on the gardening side of the building, where our items would be ready to load. Well, when they came they only brought out one type of flooring we ordered. We had ordered two different types. They went back inside to look for the rest of our flooring. We had been waiting a while outside when it started raining, and still they couldn't find our flooring. Eventually they did and their excuse was that our name was misspelled on the white piece of paper someone had taped on it. On our most recent order we decided to get things delivered. We went in on a Saturday and placed the order and delivery to our home. We confirmed that the following Friday our things they had in stock would be delivered. We received a voicemail on Thursday, the day before our things are supposed to be delivered, that our items were not going to be delivered when promised. Upon calling back we were informed by the manager that our delivery would be moved to a later date. Again we have a contractor working on this project, so he's working on a fixed schedule. So for this manager not to have any consideration and just move our delivery to a date of his choosing is unacceptable. I will not be doing any more business with this store unless this issue is rectified. read more

We renovated our inside of our house. During the process lowe,s helped with everything. Everything we ordered came on time and correct. Lowe,s contractors came right away and did a really nice job.every department we ordered things from stayed in contact with us to make sure everything was done and we were happy with the job. We were lied to, they tried to send us a floor model. Followed by the worst customer service ever. The manager was the worst!

Lowe's is Lowe's. You don't get a ton of variety from store to store, but this is probably the first time i my history of shopping at Lowe's that a worker sought me out to ask for help. We were in the door section (as in the area where you purchase doors ... not by the front doors :)) and while the guy couldn't help us, he went and found someone who had more info. I helped a friend thru the process of ordering tile for flooring and getting it installed. It was about 800 sq ft. of flooring. The installers at the time were prompt and efficient. The floor turned out looking very nice. I would like to suggest to others that use this service to put everything away or lock all your belongings in a safe place. One of the installers walked off with a brand new, very large roll of duck tape that was in their view upon leaving. I also helped them with the ordering of a dishwasher and frig. The appliances were installed perfectly. But when they were delivered one of the delivery men peed in the front yard as soon as he stepped out of the truck in full view. The delivery was rural so many places along the way were suitable for this. Now I'm reluctant to order the remaining appliances that my friend needs because of this. I'm afraid I'll get these same people for delivery. I've been looking in Sears for a washer/dryer and range. They actually have a very nice display. read more

Was just in the store in Dubois. I simply needed help finding a bolt and received the worst customer service by not 1 but 2 employees. Wouldn't even go look for what I was asking. Just seemed as they didn't want to be bothered. Left without buying anything because I couldn't find it and their customer service was literally the worst. Bought a washing machine. I was told that to get it installed I would have to buy new hoses. The guys installed without question and the new washer came with hoses for free.. Come on lowes,that's pretty sleazy. Other than this lowes is a good enough store. It's like the Walmart of home improvement. if I could give this horrible store negative stars it would get about -100!! I purchased a fence from Lowes in Dubois PA and they installed it 9 feet in the wrong direction!! Not only that but when we told them it was wrong they just came back the next day and kept putting it up the wrong way!! They wont come back and fix their mistake. I spent 7,170 on this fence!!!!! That might not be a lot of money to some people but it is to me. Not only is this fence in the wrong place but its not even finished!! I had my yard measured on September 8th 2017. It is almost December now and all they have done is come put my fence in wrong and ignore me when I try to have this resolved. I cannot believe how horribly I am being treated by this company. It is almost winter and it is going to be sitting there all winter long in the wrong place. I wanted this fence up so my toddler and I could play in our yard and I wouldn't have to worry about him wondering off onto the road. Now half of my yard is cut off and it looks horrible!! I am a young mother I don't have a lot of money I put this on a credit card. I wish I never would have stepped foot in that store. NEVER USE LOWES FOR ANYTHING!! On 1-28-18 went to lowe's and purchased everything for and entire bathroom remodel. Dale, in the plumbing dept. was very helpful. it was explained to us that lowe's would keep our order there for our contractor to pick up as needed. We made it clear construction was to start on 2-5-18. When our contractor picked up our tub it was damaged. He returned it and was told there wasn't another one in the DuBois store forcing him to go to Clearfield to get one. Then 2 days later he went for the subway tile and they were short by 2 boxes. So another trip to Clearfield. On Saturday 2-10-18 we went back to lowe's and saw Dale and discussed situation with him. He clearly had pulled all our items, checked them for damage and had everything tagged. It turns out all our items were still there and tagged but management decided to change where in the store customer orders were to be kept and failed to tell the employees who needed to know. So Dale, Thank You Very Much for your help. You are clearly on the ball and a valued employee. I hope That Lowe's know it! As for Lowe's management get your act together or get another job. read more
