Lowe's prices are reasonable and I have always found the staff here to be friendly. They're great about being proactive and asking if you need any help. Checkout lines have always moved quickly and returning items has also been fast and easy. Recently, I went here looking for organic, natural mulch (dyed mulch is sometimes made from scrap lumber that was pressure-treated with toxic chemicals that can leach into your soil, so I prefer natural mulch made from tree bark). Not only did they have organic mulch in stock, but one of their employees spent a lot of time helping me find it and then negotiate a discount because the bags of mulch had a few holes. It was a lot of effort for a small sale -- less than $10 -- and very much appreciated. read more

In March, I paid a lot of money to purchase cabinets and have them installed. I wad told I should open every box and examine the item, there were something like 200 items, and so many boxes they filled my living space, they were too heavy to move. Cabinets have to sit and acclimate before they are installed, when my installation date finally arrived, it was postponed due to scheduling, it was 2 months from order to installation. I called Lowe's and my personal Lowe's contact repeatedly but got no answer from either. When the installer came, it turned out that the side of one cupboard was severely damaged. My entire project would be on hold for another 2 months if I wanted the cupboard replaced. Since it was a middle cupboard, the damage wouldn't show, chose to keep that cupboard. After the cabinets were installed, I learned the counter tops were installed by a different company, my personal contact had never heard of that and doubted my insistence that Lowe's needed to schedule counter top installation. It was weeks before a man came to measure the cabinets for the countertops. He told me my existing countertops would have to be removed and my cupboards aligned before counter tops could be installed. I didn't have anyone who could do that, in the meantime, Cabinet Express couldn't schedule my installation. My Lowe's contact called them & suddenly they could do the work after all. Then, they told me it would be 6-8 weeks for installation, they also told me I needed to buy a new sink, the woman who designed the layout had assured me I could use my old sink, I had 2 days to buy a sink or push the date out farther. When I complained to my Lowe's contact, they told me they were giving me a sink. I don't know if that's true, but the sink is supposed to be included in installation. The 6-8 week waiting period is now at 12 weeks with expected installation in another week. When I called about the delay, they told me installation would probably be near the end of August, today is July 31. Since I put the purchase on Lowe's credit, I called the credit company and told them to put a flag on my account before I won't pay until the product is installed and I have a 6 month no interest account. The credit company transferred me to Lowe's, the gentleman I spoke with called the counter top company and suddenly they can schedule a delivery date. The total time, including next week's installation comes to 5 months, 20 weeks. I had a wall knocked out, new wooden floors installed and an entire kitchen with a full length island with the stove and seating for 8 people done in 2 months and it won a kitchen design award. This is ridiculous. Now a plumber has contacted me to tell me that my kitchen water will be turned off for 3 days. Oh, and I put it on credit because they had a no interest for 6 months plan, they started charging interest on day one. I had to call & protest, the person I spoke with assured me that my job didn't qualify. She told me she'd remove the interest as a favor to me. My contract states no interest for 6 months. I wanted the plan because I wanted the ability to refuse to pay if they botched the job. What a scam, how many people who can barely pay for things deal when a huge company like Lowe's rips them off? It's been a nightmare, service was below poor, quality is mediocre and level of stress was in uncharted territory. I went with Lowe's because I'm older, I don't expect to be in the house a long time, and I thought one stop shopping would be convenient. DON'T DO IT, FIND A LOCAL CABINET COMPANY AND COMPARE. IM CERTAIN IT COST AS MUCH OR MORE THAN A LOCAL COMPANY WOULD CHARGE. read more

I will never shop at any Lowe's ever again. Lowe's will lock you in to a 48-hour return window and deny your refund on any of their faulty appliances. I bought a Maytag PetPro stackable washer & dryer set from Lowes.com on Dec 16 2024. I paid for the delivery and "installation kit". When the installers arrived, what I ordered did not include the "stacking kit" so they left them in my living room. In all I had spent $2,230 so far and I ended up paying $60 more for a bag with two brackets and four screws, nothing special about them. I could not install the units until a few days later when I had help available. When they were finally installed and I used them for a few days, I noticed that the washer would leak from the door and the dryer would shut off randomly in the middle of its cycles, saying "Cycle Complete" but the clothes would still be wet. When I reached out to Lowe's customer service, they informed me that their return policy was only 48 hours unless I used the Lowe's credit card, then it was 7 days. They insisted on sending Maytag to repair (or replace) the units and declined a refund. When I persisted, they continued to shift responsibility to Maytag since it was "now under their warranty", and the refund was a "decision that Maytag would make". I provided all the information that Lowe's asked me for. At every step, I declined replacement and repairs and requested a pickup and refund instead. Inexplicably, Lowe's then sent a repair technician to my home anyway. I was given no notice of their arrival and they were turned away. Several more weeks went by with no communication from Lowe's, Maytag, or a repair company until I reached out to Lowe's with a final request for refund. Yet again, the support team deflected responsibility to Maytag and we got nowhere fast, so I am still stuck with two grand worth of appliances that the store won't take back. read more

Today my wife and I came to Lowes to find a screw to fit old chandelier but could not find it then Mr Jimmy showed up and spent at least 10 min or more and could not find it. He then left and came back in about 5min with exactly what we needed from the plumbing department, a place we never would have looked. Thank you, Jimmy. read more

Mrs. Teresa went out of her way to help me find a rug. They were short staffed and she was outside her department. She still got on a lift to help me look. 10/10 customer service. The only reason I gave a 4 instead of 5 was that they ended up not having the sized rug I was looking for. read more

Husband's business card would not swipe and the store manager had no intention of helping in any way. When we asked if it could be hand keyed he said "no". Fortunately the assistant managed Zack kept trying the card with a shopping bag wrapped around it. We spent over $400, you would think the "manager" would have been as helpful as the assistant. Another reason to shop small business and not big box stores. read more

Went in to return a weed eater that we were assured was returnable at any time when we bought it. Customer service person, Teresa, was helpful at first, but ended up with attitude after she called the store manager for advice. (We weren't being difficult, just wanting answers) She gets the store manager to come talk with us. Store manager (Cindy) walks up to us with attitude even before we spoke. She smacks her papers on the counter as she's basically berating us. Terrible customer service. If they'd just explain that their policy changed, that would have been the end. We were just trying to get an explanation about why they wouldn't exchange the item. read more

Awful! Finding someone to help us was a joke but even worse was when you did locate someone they were not willing to do anything! Complaining about working, complaining about heat, basically complaining about everything. We had a question about the price of something, according to the display when you purchased 5 the drive dropped. To compound the issue they had two displays of the same items different prices. When we asked what the price was the woman tapped on her screen with total frustration. We enquired about the deal and the manager happened to be there and her response was "it's lower then it was" we asked how much her responses as "not full price" we tried to explain the 4 different prices and she cut us off and stated the price is what it is. We had to pay to find out the price. read more

Didn't have to wait or look for a sales associate. Very knowledgeable on all their refrigerators and freezers. Had exactly what we were looking for plus free delivery to where we live. Best lowes around. Definitely recommend and will use them again, even though they are 30 minutes from my home. read more

Purchased over $5,000 in appliances for the remodel of the AllSteak building in Cullman. Lowe's contracted delivery partner was so rude and negligent, I'll never do business with them again. Were suppose to deliver the appliances on April 27th and called me at 7PM that night stating they didn't have time. Received a call at 6:38AM the next morning and the driver tells me he'll be at the location in 5 minutes (no warning, first call informing me of this delivery time). Even though very inconvenient for me at that early in the morning I tell him "I'll be there in 10 minutes and to meet me on the 3rd Avenue side of the building re: church side". As I'm pulling up he's driving off in his truck. He had dumped $5,000 worth of appliances on the sidewalk unattended. He then calls me at 7:01 and I ask why he didn't wait for me? He claimed I said he could drop them off and I explained again that I said I would meet him. So then he starts arguing with me and is basically calling me a liar. I like the Lowe's store and had a great sales experience on these appliances. But recommend no one ever use their delivery service. This was a nightmare experience and Lowe's should immediately sever their relationship with this delivery company. read more

Sonya and Pati were the only reasons I didn't cut up my Lowe's card when we went there recently. Was looking for help in the Garden section. Couldn't find anyone. They were all standing by the plumbing section having a gossip session. Very clear that it wasn't work related. Walked around for a bit and found Pati at the register for the garden area. She suggested Sonya for my questions and paged her. I can assure you that gal isn't getting paid enough for her work and knowledge. She was fantastic! It's a shame we couldn't find comparable help in the other areas of the store. Got what we needed and Pati took care of our transaction. Another great gal. Put Hank, Dale, and Bill at the back of the store to shame. read more

So sorry but this business has really disappointed me in so many ways. A few years ago I paid $2500-$3000 for refrigerator within a year My Ice maker didn't work the refrigerator didn't keep things like it was supposed to keep things it was horrific experience ! And this is just one of the experience my husband and I have had with this company here in Cullman ! read more

We do A LOT of business with these people. The only thing we've got against them is that 90% of the employees are young and really don't know much. And most of them are unwilling to offer ANY assistance. And one other thing, they don't keep enough registers open to keep lines moving. read more

Three years ago we bought carpet from Lowes. A year later it looked like an ocean wave! The installers did not stretch our carpet. They sent a man out to try to fix the problem. They did not stretch our carpet. Now 3 years down the road, we once again emptied our 3 bedrooms , called a professional carpet layer, paid $300. to have our carpet properly stretched. I took the bag of carpet that was cut off after it was stretched and told them our carpet was never stretched and here is the evidence. All they had to say was, "I am sorry"! The man who laid our carpet said the majority of his fixes were LOWES CUSTOMERS! People DO NOT BUY CARPET FROM LOWES, AS THEY DO NOT HIRE PEOPLE WHO KNOW WHAT THEY ARE DOING AND THEY KNOW IT WILL TAKE A YEAR FOR THE PROBLEM TO SHOW UP AND YOUR WARRANTY IS UP! I have posted pictures on my facebook and I will continue to tell people how Lowes cares about their workmanship! read more
