My washer and dryer were supposed to arrive on Thursday. The dryer showed up Friday and the washer was unaccounted for. They rescheduled for Monday. I went into the store on Sunday to confirm the delivery and was assured it was coming. It still didn't show up on Monday. I went to my local Camden Lowe's to return some APEX NeverKink hoses. I was so sure of Lowes service and standing behind their return policy, I went ahead and re-purchased four (4) APEX hoses to replace the leaky, faulty ones, I had. When I went to the Customers Service counter to swap out the faulty ones, they treated me like I was a CRIMINAL. Grilling me on WHEN I purchased the hoses etc. Knowing I had already replaced the faulty hoses, I gave them the dates of my new purchases. Mind you, I'm enrolled in both the military and South Carolina Agricultural Tax Exemption (SCATE) Program. But they acted like they could find my recent (JUN-JUL) hose purchases. I departed feeling as if I had somehow been made to look like the bad guy. I am a retired military, small farm/ business owner. I don't have the time nor the lack of integrity to cheat Lowe's out of small product returns. I purchase top-quality products such as NeverKInk hoses and Craftsman tools specifically for the piece-of-mind to return the item if defective. But I absolutely don't appreciate being made to look like a cheat when I go thru your customer service. I invest literally THOUSANDS of dollars in garden equipment, lumber, fencing paint etc. But I DO have a choice of competitor... I choose Lowes for the local convenience, but if I have to be treated poorly, I can always go elsewhere. read more

DO NOT BUY APPLIANCES FROM LOWES We purchased a Frigidaire microwave on line from Lowes in May 2021. AFter delivery and installation in June, we noticed the problem. We contacted Frigidaire and they sent one technician. on July 7. He stated that a new machine was needed. My follow up with Frigidaire in a month showed no request for a new machine. Now a second tech had to be sent out. 3 weeks later he determined that the machine HAD BEEN DROPPED IN THE WAREHOUSE AND THAT FOR THE LAST 5 MONTHS WE HAD BEEN EXPOSED TO MICROWAVES. I was told that a request for an upgrade would be made. Heard nothing from Frigidaire, I followed up 4 times with them and demanded an upgrade. Frigidaire dropped the ball and ruined my Thanksgiving. From my understanding, sometime in early December, Frigidaire sent Lowes the paperwork for a replacement. Not an upgrade. Of course no upgrade. I followed up with Lowes , I was told the order had been sent to shipping 2 weeks prior. I found this out because I followed up with Lowes. No notification from Lowes that the machine had arrived. No upgrade because Frigidaire didn't requests it. Lowes did not prioritize my order in fact they wanted to drop it off on my front door step and leave. It was now almost Christmas Due the lack of urgency on Lowes part, my Christmas was ruined. So now a microwave that had been bought from Lowes on line in May 2021, sent to the Camden SC store, dropped in the warehouse exposing my family to microwaves, ruining my Thanksgiving and my Christmas would not be installed by a technician until early January. Note that they wanted to charge us for the delivery and installation. My wife had to argue with them to waive the fees. IN SUMMATION, LOWES RUINED MY CHRISTMAS BECAUSE OF NO FOLLWUP OR URGENCY. I WAS NEVER CALLED DURING THE TIME THAT LOWES HAD MY MACHINE. IN THE END NEITHER LOWES OR FRIGIDAIRE TOOK RESPONSIBLITY FOR THEIR ERRORS AND OFFERED AN UPGRADE TO MAKE UP FOR EVERYTHING STATED ABOVE GOODBYE LOWES, and HELLO HOME DEPOT Please cancel my Lowes credit card Bill read more

We usually like to shop at Lowe's. However after going to the store in Camden SC I can clearly see why it only has 2 1/2 stars on Yelp! It was impossible to find help and when we went to the Customer Service desk to ask (we were a little tempered but not loud or ugly) the young lady who assisted us described us on the phone to the Manager as 'an irate customer'. Meh is indeed the right word. It is cool that they have a Lowe's in such a small town as Camden. Visiting here most of my life, the only big store they ever had was a Wal-Mart. The problem I have with this store is that no one is knowledgeable or helpful. No one ever came up to me to ask if I needed anything and after I asked several people where carpet tacks were the responses ranged from "I don't know" to "they have tacks for carpet?" Come on people, this is a home improvement/building supply store. If you have no idea what I am talking about can you at least try and think of someone in the store that might know? No? Have spent thousands upon thousands of dollars remodeling a home in Camden and have returned items with a receipt, had a Frigidaire filter I purchased but purchased wrong one wanted to exchange it (product was not even opened) was told could not return or exchange asked for a manager Tedra and was told you cannot as you are on a list and cannot return without a receipt i explained situation about remodeling a home etc and was getting a blank stare so I finally said, you don't really care do you? And she said No I Don't. I will never spend another dollar at Lowe's and will do everything possible to get others to do the same. Went down street to Camden Builders Supply Ace Hardware and was treated with respect and not on some segregated list and purchased $179 worth of products Do Not spend your money at Lowe's support local stores that will know you and care. read more

After having a terrible experience at a neighboring town at Lowe's, I left that store and drove all the way to Camden South Carolina where I had the best experience I could ask for. I was greeted by a young man as soon as I walked in the garden section he asked me if I could need assistance. He helped me not only find what I was looking for but then loaded my truck for me as I am disabled. He and one of his co-workers went above and beyond the job description and I am gratefully appreciative of that I don't know if I can leave names on here but I would like to come and Noah and Darnell for the service they provided. I will continue to frequent to the Lowe's in Camden South Carolina as opposed to the other one in the nearby town because of their positive attitudes. read more

I ordered 5 Pella doors on 4/4/16. The delivery date was noted as 4/29/16. It is now 5/23/16 & they still don't know when the doors will be delivered. I've called the store every week for the last 4 weeks, including this week. Every week I get a different excuse, & a promise that they will be delivered later in the week. It never happens, and no one calls with a follow up. I would not recommend ordering ANYTHING special order from this store. They can't handle the customer service. read more

Listen. If you can't find what you are looking for in this place they will order it for you. The only thing I can think of you might not find would be a certain style of something. This is your "almost everything", home improvement store. Hell, the only reason I'm giving 4 out of 5 stars is the place is so big sometimes you need help finding something. AND sometimes you can not find someone to help for awhile. That's annoying but understandable if you are in a patient mood. I have had more help than I needed and felt like shouting for assistance in the same trip!! Service is hit or miss. Be patient. Bring a snack, Browse awhile. read more

Richard in electrical was very helpful. He helped me find exactly what I needed and knew where everything was. However, when I went to check out at the registers, and associate named Tardia was yelling at another worker in front of everyone! The worker looked clearly upset, and walked away. When I got up the the register, the the cashier was very nice but was struggling to do something on the register. She called Tardia over for help and once again, she was very rude with the cashier and spoke to her like she was stupid, which clearly made the poor girl very uncomfortable. I reassured her that she was doing a great job and asked her a question about the sales paper. She didn't know the answer and I wasn't going to make her call that girl over again, so I decided to ask her myself. When I asked her how long the sales paper was good for, she brushed me off with a scoff and walked away to go down something else. I stood there for a while to see if anyone else could come up to help me but no one did. When she came back, I asked her again and she took the paper out of my hand, pointed to the top where a very small date was printed, and walked away again. At this point I was fed up and no longer wanted to stay in the store, so I left. Makes me wonder what kind of circus Andy Hall is running. read more

Terrible Customer Communication. I have replaced all of my appliances and ordered them from the Camden Lowe's. The delivery is TERRIBLE. It took 8 months to receive my stove. I just bought a washer and dryer. They tried to deliver it when I was at work, without calling prior to delivery. I found this out after they tried to deliver. I then scheduled delivery 4 days away so I could take off work and meet them at the house. I called the day of delivery, confirmed delivery and the delivery person called me to also confirm deliver. I waited, waited and they never called nor showed. I work 2 jobs and had to schedule this around my work schedule. I called today to ask what happened, on hold 8 minutes and spoke with a manager. He said he has no idea what happened and then connected me with someone in deliver. He could not understand me but I am on a landline phone so it wasn't a bad connection. Again I had to reiterate what happened and he said they have me scheduled for 11 days from now! I cleaned out my old washer and dryer 2 days ago in preparation for the new one that I was suppose to have yesterday. I am so distraught! I will NEVER recommend them. I live in a small town and work with the public everyday. I always try and provide outstanding customer service so it is very disappointing when a company does not follow thru with their promises. read more

I recently (Dec 2012) opened a new business, Spears Creek Veterinary Clinic. The staff at the Camden Lowe's was excellent at helping me, especially Danny and Sterling! I went there almost every day for a month to get my supplies. (Try going to lowes at 7:30 am...everyone greets you!) I got everything from a refrigerator to shelving to cleaning supplies to lightbulbs (and tons more). They even delivered the fridge and freezer for FREE! The staff was exceptionally patient with my requests for somewhat outside-of-the-box needs. Thank you guys! read more
