Service was seriously lacking. I waited at the paint counter (paint pickup) for 5 minutes. The guy working was busy with two other customers, and I was more than willing to wait. When he finished speaking with the last person that was there before me, he had to make paint. I totally understand that he needed to get this done. However, he completely ignored me. and they left, I realize he was busy he could've told me, ' I'll be with you in just a moment.' I have a claim in with Lowes delivery since December 2024. The drivers who are not even qualified or insured who delivered for Lowes in December. I filed a claim and have been sent round and round over 35 phone calls and still nothing. I have contacted the store manager Jeff Walker 3x, and not 1 courtesy call back. I guess he does not handle issues. The delivery driver broke the water line in the wall when trying to disconnect washing machine and flooded my rental apartment. I sent out my guys to do repairs and have been waiting for reimbursement since ... I would either pick up and install yourself or go else where who has drivers qualified and insured to hook up the appliances. read more

Bluffton Lowes has a great gardening selection as well as a good deals to be had on their plant clearance rack. store is always clean. lots of parking. nice selection of lumber and trim. I really like this lowes, and yes like everywhere they could use more employees, but their employees are kind, many are knowledgeable, and they have to put up with a lot of angry retirees with nothing but time on their hands. my advice, be patient if you need service! read the aisle labels to find what your looking for read more

This is the third time my husband had to come into the Bluffton Lowe's for a dozen bags of concrete. We do all of our purchasing here for home renovations, and every time that I've been with him, I've witnessed at least three employees that are out front sitting around chatting, and when I start taking pictures of them, they start to move around and look busy, all to avoid helping customer. Every time single time-When you approach the counter, no greeting such as "How can I help you", just an ice cold stare like you are bothering them and that they hate their jobs. We ordered a microwave to be installed from Lowes. The 2 men did a good job installing it and were very nice. When they left I cleaned up after them and found that they had scratched my marble countertop. Lowes scheduled a man to come out & see it and he never came! No show. Do not have anything done by Lowes. We had new floors put in by them 5 years ago. They measured all of our doors & total area wrong & had to reorder doorjams, forgot about us & we had to chase after them to finish job. Last straw for these people. read more

Customer service for delivery pickup is non-existent at the Lowes. I just purchased a battery powered mower from Lowes. I am disabled and require a service dog to walk, so going inside and picking one up off the floor, putting it on a dolly, then putting on a roof top carrier of my car by myself was not an option. Since I found Lowes delivery service hit and miss before, I decided to try customer pick-up. The ordering process was simple. I received and email about 4 hours after purchasing the mower online stating that I could use the Lowes app to let them know that I am on my way and then let the customer service representatives know when I got to the store, which parking spot I was in, and even the color and type of car so that they would have not problem identifying me. Exactly what I was hoping they would provide. After notifying the store that I was in parking spot 2 and waiting over 20 minutes with no response. I decided to call the customer service department to see if I had made a mistake using the app or something. The rudest customer service representative I ever met answered the phone. I asked if they knew I was waiting she said "Yeah, but we don't have anyone to in that department today. You have to come in, put the items on you order in the cart and load it yourself". I calmly explained that it was impossible for me to do that and she stated "If you want your stuff, you gotta come in and get it yourself. I told you we don't have anyone working in that department today." I was going to say " That's ridiculous. There are at least 3 employees rounding up carts from the parking lot and tending the plants outside." But she HUNG UP on me as soon as I said "That's ridiculous..." Given no other option I untethered my service dog, put her walking harness on, and walked straight to the customer service desk. There was a single woman there. She had her back to me - refusing to turn around even to acknowledge my presence. I asked her to call her manager. Without turning around, she said that she already did. About 5 minutes later, John showed up. He stated that every time he hears someone is about to pick up an order, he heads straight for customer service. Apparently this is standard operating procedure for them. While I was explaining what happened, all he could say was he is sorry. Right in front of the customer service person, I told John that hanging up on customers should be completely unacceptable. Again, without looking at her or saying anything at all to her to confirm or deny what I was saying, he said he was sorry. As he gathered my order, put it on a cart, and we walked out to my car, I told he why I tried to use customer pickup and that I simply could not load it on my car myself. (If you are wondering how I unloaded it, I had some neighbors waiting to help me when I got home). So he called one of the guys gathering the carts to help him and they put it on my car. I asked why this was so difficult and that I thought this was a horrendous way to treat their customers. Why do the even have a customer pickup service at all! Again, Joh simply muttered, "I am sorry." It was obvious that I needed some help. Yet no employee would assist unless directed by John. I do not expect nor desire special treatment because I have a disability. But no one should be treated as poorly as they treated me this evening! To the best of my knowledge, John never corrected his employee nor did she ever attempt to turn and face me to make eye contact. It certainly cannot be a racial issue or question of my appearance since she never turned to look at me. I do not know if John is scared of all of his employees or if they simply don't care to be interrupted by customers. But If this is acceptable behavior for a customer service representative, I cannot image what is acceptable for other employees! read more

The man working in the carpet section is the rudest person EVER! He treated us like we were a total inconvenience to him and that we had the nerve to ask him for help. Not to mention that I just dropped $7k to carpet my house which ended up with carpet that had serious manufacturing defects and was so poorly installed that they are now having to put me through the inconvenience of having the whole project redone! We go to this Lowes location often and even call long distance to make orders that need to be picked up. We used to call the main number, but found it difficult to get help that way. If I could honestly give this review zero stars, I would. During the month of December, I experienced the worst customer service experience for a product that I PAID FOR...IN FULL. It's amazing how many lies I've been told, only to remain stuck with a refrigerator that I still cannot use. It's spoiled my food several times and get this...I even purchased the extended warranty. Managers will literally promise you anything, just to get you out of the store. A service technician still has yet to make it out to my home so, essentially, I've been without a fridge for a month. According to their policies, I can't do an exchange, receive a refund, or replacement. I highly recommend that you go elsewhere if you have a dire need for a new appliance. read more

What a crappy store. I order a dishwasher. The installation company contacted me by e-mail but not with an installation date. I called the installation company and was told it could not be installed until a month later. That is frigging ridiculous! I attempted to call the store to cancel my order and was hung up on three times. I guess my only resort is to have my credit card company reverse the charge. He went out of his way to make sure to get me what I needed and then when I had to return the item because of damage to the patio table, he made sure that the one I exchanged it for was satisfactory. We shopped around and decided to replace our homes door handles. Door handles for home have: 1. keyed entrance ways, 2. hall/closet passage, 3. Bed and bath and 4. Dummy door knobs. We purchased and started replacing and got to the dummy doors and noticed that the brand, Reliabilt in the Olivia style with the Antique bronze finish has no dummy door knobs available. The have the finish listed but listed it as not available. It seems to me that you should be able to just order these and then wait on them. The Lowes Reliabilt customer service could only tell me what they saw on the computer. Non are available and they don't know if or when any would be available. It seems to me like it is bit like selling you a door package for your home but finding out you have no closet doors or buying a car but the wheels are not included. Why buy this brand if they cannot supply all the door knobs needed for your home? If you plan to buy replacement knobs for doors or for an entire home I would check to make sure they have all the doorknobs needed. Realibilt was a major disappointment. read more

My wife and I needed a new oven, so on Sunday, 6/11/23 we came in and ordered an oven to be delivered the next day 6/12/23. I was told I would receive a text Sunday night and again Monday morning regarding the timing of our delivery. Never received a text, they just showed up and dropped off the appliance. Lucky I was home. Before they left I told them it needed leveled out, it was very obvious it wasn't level. With that they left. Very poor service all the way around! Sunday, around 3:00 I was checking out of the garden center. I had many small different plants and asked if I could have a container. I was informed that I could go and collect it, behind the cones. The cashier and his bud were engaged in a conversation concerning the fact that he wanted to drive the fork lift, but wasn't qualified, and did he think that it would make a difference. In the meantime, my plants were spilling as I tried to load them into the cart, and there were 4 people behind me, waiting to check out. I went here because I'm getting a custom built in office space in my new home in Bluffton. I need 26 square feet of granite/corian/quartz and had already gone to their biggest competitor. I can't say the name but the initials are HD. There were two workers sitting at desks without customers so I asked one for help with pricing since I couldn't find it. He pointed at the wall and said the pricing is one the wall. Thanks for your help. It's not like I didn't already look for the pricing before I walked over to you. I did wind up finding one granite that I liked, that was $10 a foot cheaper than the one I liked at the other store. But do you know what, I'm going to pay the extra money and go see Chuck at the other store. If you aren't willing to talk with me, well, I'm not willing to give you my money. This is probably one of the nicest Lowes stores I'd been in. It surpasses the local Home Depot regarding parking and store layout. The folks there are helpful and friendly. The had everything I'd looked for. There was an adapter for my irrigation system which looked to be out of stock, but the store attendant spent a solid 10 minutes looking for the part and found it on the top shelf of the aisle. He then got the big ladder to retrieve the part. All for $.69, but for me it was the help and the effort. read more

Eleven day nightmare so far to get 1 cabinet delivered ranging from cancelled delivery, put on truck so damaged that it looked like someone hit it with a sledge hammer, ignoring my dates available to deliver, condescending store manager, charging my cc before I'd even received merchandise, lying, and I'm still waiting on the product. They suggested that if I wanted to get the cabinet undamaged to just get it unassembled. I thought I was the customer. Setting a really low bar here. I guess the 78 year old woman is supposed to put a 71 inch tall cabinet together. Customer assistance non-existent. Beaufort, SC store could care less if you get the product and what kind of shape it is in. Shove the merchandise out the door and like it or lump it. These are just the highlights. This is the worst experience I ever had at Lowes located in Bluffton SC!!! We purchase a stock door and a install package that was a nightmare from dealing with Chuck in Millworks Dept to the store Manger to the no show installer. Lets start with Installer...We set up in home est. for someone to come out and pre measure he was two hours late. Then day of install he's a no show never answer any phone calls from installed department. Chuck sales specialist in millworks. Took him three quotes to get our est. material and price semi correct. He was gone on emerengacy though our order progress and no one at first was able to step in help us finalize contract. Finally Gill was able step in and draw up contract and take our money after a week. Chuck quote us one price for labor and Gill charged us higher price, once Chuck came back from emergency he refuse to honor the price" he quote" us in the email, and said he didn't write that??????? We show him the email!!! Gill and Chuck had this very rude demeanor to themselves The manger John doesn't give a shit about his customers!!! Though this whole ordeal he was no help in any assistance of straighten out anything. All he kept telling us once door purchase he wipes hands of the sale and install process. He could "Not" even help place the order in the beging when Chucks was out on emergency leave. When Chuck wouldn't honor his labor adjustment that he had state in a email to us and finally when contractor was a no show last Saturday he was totally "A No Show" himself as a Manger to make things right for a Lowes Customer. I must say one thing the three ladies from the install assign dept Jullie, Ashely, and Katerinia have been very supportive and trying there best to resolve this door install so this job can be completed. John manger of the Lowes in Bluffton needs to take customer service lessons from these ladies!! Better yet Lowes corp. needs to fire him and Chuck. If you need cheap outdoor plants, this is your place. However, if you need appliances Lowe's is to be avoided because they have an ineffective way of doing business. The current process has multiple steps. Step 1 is wait for a sales associate to be available. Step 2 show them the appliances you want, while they hand write the product numbers on a scrap piece of paper. Step 3 you walk around looking for a computer that isn't occupied by another associate. Step 4 the sales associate logs into the computer, then proceeds to look in the "system" to see if the appliance you're interested in is available, this took us quite awhile for the following reasons: 1. Sales person had to hand type the product numbers he wrote down. 2. Other customers approached looking for help 3. Other associates approached looking for assistance or questions. Step 5 the sales associate starts going through all the added delivery and installation costs per item. For example: a $369.00 over the range microwave costs you $40.00 delivery/removal and $159.00 installation fee for a total added cost of $199.00. Then the sales person asks about purchasing an extended warranty. Now, let's move on to buying the refrigerator. You want an ice maker that's offered as an option, you buy that as a separate item and it gets delivered separately from the refrigerator. Oh, wait, it's at this point that you learn they contract out all the deliveries and installations. However, Lowe's will make this "easy for you". Step 6 we can stet up everything up now. This is a very lengthy process because the person who delivers the stove and refrigerator can't deliver the dishwasher that take a specialized installer and that over the range microwave is also a specialized installer, someone else will be doing that. At this point, I was like whoa I am paying all separate install delivery and removal fees, so they come out on 3 different occasions? The salesperson said he is putting it in our "system" that you want it all one the same day. Great, thank you! You are welcome. Step 7 fast forward to delivery day. We have your stove, and refrigerator but not anything else. Wait, what? Oh, and all that could be installed is the stove because they didn't put the ice maker with delivery (which we found out later was not even in stock). We can install your microwave in two days between 2-5 (no show). We can't schedule your dishwasher because it didn't come in. Wait, what? Step 8 After, several calls and long waits on hold to Lowe's, their delivery and installation contractor, the store manager promised he would get everything sorted out and his best salesperson would call me back that night. Step 9 No call from best salesperson, manager or installation/delivery company. Step 10 We went in to the store returned everything and they admitted most of what we ordered wasn't available? Save yourself 10 steps, time and frustration buy your appliances somewhere else. I found a fabulous local appliance store that got the job done in 3 steps which, admittedly, I paid slightly more for similar appliances but save quite a bit on delivery, removal and installation. read more

On two different occasions nobody knew what was going on with the things I was waiting on and they weren't able to provide answers. Had a fence installed and the gate was broken upon delivery, it took 2 weeks for them to put the new gate on order after discovering the broken gate. It was always someone else's fault. read more

I have had a few really good experiences in this store and decided to share. Saturday, I went in to discuss an issue. I bought a fridge that went out of stock before delivery. My order was canceled. I called corporate and they were not very helpful. I went to the store on Thursday and talked with Ronald in appliances. He was helpful but I needed my paperwork, so I went back on Saturday, expecting a fight on my hands to get the sale price that had expired on one to be ordered. It was a $700 difference. I worked with Sam, in appliances, and after showing him my paperwork, he couldn't have been more helpful in getting me one ordered, and at the price I originally paid. I also had a great experience with a young lady when ordering a blind back in June. I wish I would have taken the time to write a review then. She drives from GA to work at this location and always waves when I see her in the store. read more

I purchased a refrigerator online that was giving a $500.00 discount. When I went to the store to look at it they said there is no discount, so I bought it as I have been without a refrigerator for 4 months due to backorder. When I got home that night I once again looked it up online and indeed the discount was there so I purchased that one too since it was to be delivered the next day, Ashley from the Bluffton store called to tell me that I had two orders so she cancels the one that does not have the discount and they will not follow thru with the discount as promised online. Despite all the bad reviews, I decided to order composite decking, BIG MISTAKE! I placed the order 3 weeks prior to requested delivery time, Monday of this week, and was told that I will be called in the morning to confirm the time of delivery. I had a contractor scheduled to start the work the next day and I shuffled my work and medical appointments schedule to be at home during installation. Not hearing anything by 10 AM, I called the store and was told "it was out for delivery". With nothing happening, I called back around 5, and following endless "press # so and so for so and so", I was finally able to reach the operator, who then transferred me to "management", whatever that is. After several holds, I was told that it was now to be delivered first thing next day, no explanation, no apology. The next day came, nothing, then more calls, more holds, more transfers, more excuses: missed the first delivery, will go after lunch, the order was "pulled", but cannot be located, the flatbed truck is broke, will deliver for sure next day, etc. On Wednesday afternoon I went to the store in person. Everyone at the contractor's desk was busy starring at their computers, but finally I got "yah, can I help you?" The associate then went back to check on it, came back after 20 minutes and seemed not to recognize me. I was finally told that yes, the order was "pulled", and that I was going to get it first thing next day, Thursday. I received a call on Thursday telling me that a part of the order could not be delivered, the computer showed plenty in stock, but nobody could find it, no idea how long it would take for the store to get the missing stock. I said "deliver what you have this morning, backorder the rest", it was delivered at 11:30. Will I be updated on delivery of the balance? I am not holding my breath... read more

My husband has been here countless times and asked where something was, only to be told by an employee that they didn't carry that item. Thereafter my husband walks through the store to look for it himself and eventually finds the item. I've never met more incompetent employees that don't care about their job at all.
