I thought the employees at Porth Holiday Park were rude, but the ones here are Ruda! They are much…read moreRuda! They even named the place after how much Ruda they are! I adore Ruda... I holidayed here in the 1980s when I wasn't even in school yet, and then again a few years later when I was in school, and then as an adult, I drove back down here several times, enjoyed Croyde Beach, and even slept over here once or twice. They have a cool "flume" which is a waterslide, sticking out of their little mini swimming pool building. It looks like nothing now, but when I was a kid, it was absolutely thrilling. I have very embarrassing nude photos of me hanging out on the beach here. I was last here last year, and it's as lovely as ever. There were girls doing Yoga on the beach, it was windy and raining (it's England, it always is!), and it just felt like home. My Dad doesn't even have the BMW that he drove me and Mum down here in, on the little hedge-lined B-roads of Devon... they're not even married anymore, in fact they broke up just years after the first vacation here and neither one have ever returned, although I have. The best part is that you can walk from the accommodation directly onto the beach. What could be better. And this is review #1988 because that was probably one of the years I came here as a tiny lad, even though I may not have been born yet then. I was going to recreate the nude photo now that I am an adult, but I feel like with a fully grown man, it would be a lot Ruda.

Great place for a weekend break. We always come here once a…read moreyear. Mostly Camping. But this year it was a weekend in a caravan. We had a surprise 50th Birthday Bash - In a Hotel around the bay. And stayed here. The Swimming pool is great. And the evening entertainment was good too. Its only over the road from Croyde Beach which is a magnet for surfers. And there are plenty of surfing schools to help you take on those superb waves. We had an 8th birth caravan and was very comfortable. Even the double bed (come sofa). We have a lot of fond memories of Ruda. In the 10 years we have been visiting this place. It still holds great memories for me and my family. Ruda caters for all sorts of holiday's. I.e. Caravans of all sizes, camping. And there are some lovelly cottages right on the beach front, with its own private pool and Jacuzzi. These are a bit pricy, and you have to book well in advance. But really good if you want to treat yourself one year. There is a good walk to Baggy Point too, and you can see Woolacombe from around the bay. Also recommend a couple of pubs near by - Billy Buds is a great surfers pub for all the family - Great play area for the kids.

I am writing this review a year and half later, unfortunately this service to review was not…read moreavailable when we used Latitude50 service at the time. I wish I had complained whilst in situ at Radnoon, Rock, Cornwall rather than after our visit when they withheld our deposit. The property was beautiful looking, but not eco friendly as stated. The AGA was on in summer and we were not allowed to switch off (instructions clearly left us in doubt) and all the doors had to be opened just to breathe and roasting. The internet did not work but we over looked even though I used extra data costing me £125.00 (we are not complainers) However I did mention afterwards they never returned my email to compensate me just ignored my issue. This experience has taught me to complain, complain immediately!!! The handles to the kitchen cabinets were sticky and dirty and general clean of the kitchen wasn't up to scratch. We paid £3000+ for a week and there were four of us for a 12 persons house. The towels were very old and discoloured and not in keep with the selling points to the property. The company withheld money for a cushion which had scratches apparently from us. The scratches were marks in the textile wear. When we brought up our issues they did not want to listen because I did not complain until after our visit, I was in a holiday mood and needed a relaxed time and not stressed. I wish I had, so buyer beware and take some advice, make sure you complain at the time. They took money from us and did not want to listen or compromise. We regularly come to Cornwall and spend this amount of money we know what to expect from a rental company and expectations of the property, this was not met. Customer service nil and in favour of the owner. I am so glad I can have a voice using this service.

We rented one of latitude 50's properties 7 weeks ago and I haven't received my deposit back yet. Hopefully the bank can get the deposit back for me as the company stopped responding to my emails a few weeks ago.
