Well, if you want a pub that has it's own pet cockatoo that says 'Hello Cocky' whenever you attempt to strike up a conversation with it, then this is certainly a pub that you are going to like. Okay, it is a bit of a trek to reach, and it is also effectively in the middle of nowhere (though I am sure if you are determined enough you could walk, or at least ride a bike), but for me at least, it was certainly worth it. Okay, the pub itself is your typical country pub, and you can be assured that the publican knows everybody who walks in through the door on a first name basis (except for people like me who trek up from the city just to have a beer). They have a pretty nice beer garden, however it is one of those beer gardens that it basically a converted backyard, complete with two yappy dogs that want to play with you while you are having a beer. This pub certainly has a character of its own, and I know I would be very tempted to stop by here again if I am ever in the area. read more
