Before seeing the periodontist next week I wanted an assessment for the need of a root canal. Greeted at the front desk by a very nice gentleman and on to the back with the assistant. Dr. MacIntyre was great and got to the problem quickly. Unfortunately I do need a root canal but would rather do that before all the work for a crown is done. Great eval. Just had my root canal . Although I hope I never need another one I would definitely be back here if I do. Thank you to Dr. MacIntyre and his team.

After he left, Dr. Best took over. From the beginning I could feel a gap, and I mentioned it at every visit. He continually assured me it would be fine and that if a gap remained, he would take care of it. When my braces were removed, the gap was still there, and over time it has only gotten worse. I would have never chosen this path if I had known I would be left with a bigger gap than before. I never had a gap to begin with. I would have kept my teeth as they were -- they weren't that bad, just a crossbite and a slight overbite. Now it looks like I have a missing tooth, which is far worse than what I started with.

The taking of X-rays etc. was accomplished with great attention to my handicap making it a good experience for me. The cleaning was exceptional. I have never had a more pain free cleaning yet extremely good results. The dentist , "Dr. Michael" is most pleasant and easy to communicate with. He did an exam using photos from X-rays for better understanding on my part and gave me much info as to what I can do at home to better my own care of my teeth too. As did "Tina" also. I left my appointment feeling really good about having such a pleasant experience for a health need I usually dread . So glad I found this dentist !!!

When I went back, Dr Bannan would not admit any negligence, but did agree to fluoride treatment. I sincerely believe Dr Bannan missed some of the old decay while repairing tooth. I do NOT recommend Dr Bannan, and would never trust him to work on my teeth again. After selling my condo, I was temporally renting in port orange until my new apartment was ready. Having problems with an old filling, repaired a few times, and an old crown led me to find a new dentist in my area. Waters's edge dental seemed the best choice so agreed to have both teeth crowned. When making appointment a large deposit was required. How odd I thought; I have never paid a deposit at any dentist. Several months after the new crowns, my apartment was ready and decided to find a more convenient dentist. During routine x-rays, my dentist noticed a problem with one of the crowns from water's edge dental. It had only been a little over a year, and very expensive, so I attempted to get an appointment at water's edge. They were reluctant at first and informed me that I had to pay. Eventually I got an appointment without cost and sent them my x-ray. Dr Bannan wasn't very pleased and didn't believe my story, requesting to speak with my new dentist. After which he stated there may be some decay starting, while intimating reluctance to work on tooth again, and suggested a fluoride treatment, but would do whatever I wanted. Not wanting to go through that ordeal again I agreed to fluoride treatment and then again in one month. At my second visit, although afraid of ordeal, I stated I wanted tooth repaired. Dr Bannan abruptly stated there was nothing clinically (I believed the verbiage he used) wrong with the crown, no matter what the x-ray revealed. So why the fluoride treatment if crown was OK, I asked myself? I would not recommend Dr Bannan or go back again.
