Their billing department first tried to tell us that our dental insurance was tied to our medical insurance. We told them that isn't true. They told us they had just spoken to our dental insurance. My wife then called our dental insurance and they informed us that wasn't true. My called the billing department back and they told her what our insurance said and they told my wife they didn't believe her. They finally called our dental insurance back and confirmed. Then on the day of surgery when my wife gets there, they inform her the procedure is $685 but that the insurance might not cover it and it might be $16000. My wife asked "Didn't get you a pre-authorization when you spoke to our insurance?" They said no and that they were going to try to bill our medical insurance first and if they didn't pay, then they would try our dental insurance. We told them we were not going to do the procedure with them unless they had a pre-authorization for insurance, they refused. They said it could take days or weeks to get the pre-authorization. We had scheduled this appointment over a month ago. Horrible, lazy and shady business practice on their part. A patient should not be going into to surgery without knowing if their insurance is going to cover the procedure and the total out-of-pocket cost. They should have gotten the pre-authorization weeks ago and if they needed us to do anything on our end, we should have been informed when we made the appointment. Needless to say, my wife walked out and she will not be having her procedure done with them.

At my "regular" dental office, I was told I needed something would cost me $600 (with insurance). With Dr. Fimbres, he explained to me why that procedure would be inappropriate with my condition and that he was not going to do it on me. At the end, I also ended up paying a few hundred less than what I was quoted because the tooth came right out. He and his staff still could have easily charged me at what I was quoted at, and I wouldn't know the difference, but they didn't. Yes, I recommend him!

i don't recommend this place at all. i waited an hour to be seen and taken to the back. the…read moreassistant was super nice and offered me a blanket hence the three stars. the dr has a nice personality, but is super rough and doesn't wait for the numbing cream to numb you and just gives you the shots which hurt so bad. however i didn't feel anything else the whole procedure just some pressure. the reason i'm writing this is not because of my surgery it's because of after. i was told my prescription would be sent to my pharmacy and when the numbing started to go away i called and they told me it was never sent over. i called wisdom teeth away and they told me to give them an hour and it would be ready. it was an hour and i called again and it was not ready. so i went to wisdom teeth away and spoke to the front assistants and told them i had been waiting five hours for my prescription, mind you the numbing goes away after 2, so im in pain. the girls were nice and understanding, but the man that was sending my prescription got defensive and argued that he was already sending them, well if they were sent i wouldn't be at the building. it was very rude and unprofessional, no care for patients pain after surgery, and he still had multiple people waiting on their prescription.
