I had to get…read moremy passport renewed this year so I went the usual route for getting these passport pictures taken. UPS, Walmart, CVS. Those places must have cameras they got out of the donation boxes. Your pictures turn out hideous with all of these shadows in the wrong places that makes you look like you are 100 years old. I kept thinking, wow, this is the passport photo I have to present to the immigration officer in another Country for the next 10 years! They would surely look at me funny every time. I refused to have that hideous picture pasted in my passport for the next10 years so I did a Google search for photographers who took passport photos. This is how I found Dan Harris. I also discovered that there are not too many photographers who take passport pictures so I felt very fortunate that I found Dan, just in the nick of time. The quality of the pictures that Dan took compared to the UPS ones were like night and day. I looked so elegant and regal in the picture Dan took, even with the new rules of not showing teeth when you smile. ha! Dan told me I didn't need to look angry like how the lame brain people at the UPS store interpreted the new rules about not smiling and not showing your teeth. Dan encouraged me to do a half smile with my lips closed. The pictures turned out phenomenal. And to think I paid $10 for that hideous set of pictures at the UPS Store. It is well worth the cost to have your passport pictures taken by a professional photographer like Dan since this is a picture that you will have to show the whole world when you travel, and that is the picture they will also show on the big screen if, God forbid, something bad were to ever happen to you while visiting one of these foreign countries. haha!! It is also a picture that you will be looking at for the next 10 years!

They did a great job working with us on figuring out what we wanted in terms of photography, how long we wanted them there for, how many photographers we would need, and any special requests on pictures that had to be taken. They were reasonably priced and flexible. We worked with them on photography shot lists and a list of the bridal party, wedding party, special guests, special requests, and additional information before the wedding. They were easy to reach via phone and email. The day of the wedding, Karen and her daughter/assistant came at the scheduled time and started immediately on photography. I know they took unique shots and made things personable for us. During the ceremony, we didn't even notice they were there! They made sure to take family pictures, pictures with the bridal party, and even though it was a rainy day, they suggested unique ideas for pictures such as in the ivy covered stairwell at our venue, using an umbrella as a prop in several outdoor pictures, and using my faux mink fur in various outdoor pictures. They worked hard during the reception taking pictures of the guests, the food, and the dancing. Finally, for the final exit, they suggested that guests use their phone lights to light the exit for us and for some cool pictures! I loved their ideas and the final products have turned out better than I could imagine. We received so many pictures, and the USB drive came in a beautiful little box with our wedding photo on it. I mean it's not every day that I undress in front of a total stranger and enjoy having photos taken of myself, but after initially speaking with Khim, she eased all of my anxieties and concerns and patiently answered every question I had. Prior to our appointment she also gave me some tips and tricks to prepare for our shoot, which made that day run so smoothly. The morning of our shoot, I pointed out areas that I was self conscious about, but Khim's professionalism and confidence in me made me feel so empowered.
