First thing to know, Downtown Omaha is kind of a grocery store desert - or at least that was the impression I got from my visit. We were travelling with our toddler and while I KNOW she should be 100% off bottles, we are picking our fights and she still enjoys one with her milk in the morning and in the evening. That being said, we only brought two bottles and planned on cleaning them as we went. Our only problem was we forgot dish soap. After asking the front desk where would be the easiest place to find some they recommended Cubby's and they were right! While you pay convenience store prices, it was easy to pick up what we needed and they had a few options which was nice. The store itself has a good variety of food, snacks, odds and ends, and likely serves as a little grocer for anyone who lives nearby. I wouldn't say I loved this place so much I would definitely return, but I will say it was clean, had what we needed, and was conveneint, which really was about all I could ask for in a nearby convenience store.

Sometimes a little higher than you would find at a larger supermarket...but you won't find a larger supermarket in this part of town! It's in the Brandeis Building, and to not distract from the majesty, the signage is kept small and vague, so you may not realize the Dollar General goodness available here. Far less dangerous than it used to be and not super busy anymore. The inside of the store is always clean when I visit and I've never had a rude employee. Bonus: clean bathrooms. I'm basic and like decaf coffee which they brew up strong and I've been known to get a hotdog before. Might not be the cheapest gas in town but sometimes speed is more important.

The far right side gas pump was not working well, causing you to hold onto the pump handle vs using the auto lock method. This isn't preferred on cold blustery days. The pumps were not cleared of debris, causing the appearance of dirty stations at this location. The employees probably don't feel like cleaning on cold days which I can completely understand.
