Not bad. Gas was about a dollar cheaper per gallon than in San Diego, but then as a general rule…read moregas is a dollar cheaper (or close to it) in most states I travel to. I was road weary and needed a restroom break and fuel stop. I filled up my tank, used the restroom then took a 4 hour nap in my car. Noone bothered me. I left when I was rested. Over all not a bad experience. I'd stop there again on a future roadtrip.

We stayed here one night we're on our way back to Arizona. We are on the highway 54 on our journey…read moreand this is right off the road. It is also an RV service and parts shop. The sites are wide and everyone has a tree, although they are young, so this will be nice in a few years The cost was $47 a night. They do have Wi-Fi and it was a decent speed. It was 103° when we got here today so we quickly got the electricity hooked up. Too hot to do anything outside. Staff was very friendly check-in, this appears to be a family own place, very nice spot to stop. Guymon had several restaurants and shops so there's resources nearby if you need.

After a long day on the road, we rolled up with no reservations and they made accommodations for us in just a few minutes. Very friendly and kind staff, put us in a pull through back in the park not far from the old movie screen thats still standing. Crushed stone interior roadways are wide and easy to navigate, and the sites have a decent amount of green space between them. Nice wide level gravel base sites, our site had a fairly decent sized tree on it that gave a little shade for our HDT which was nice, but not for our rv. The weather was shifting so shade was not as important as it was a month earlier. We had good utilities that were fairly close to each other, solid water pressure and a decent power supply. The park has a camp store, laundry and showers, as well as an onsite rv repair shop and technician with rv storage. There are an equal number of long term campers and well as daily pass through travelers. 4 Stars a decent rv park in the area, and perhaps the nicest one in the Guymon area, it met our needs for our time there and would stay again if in the area. 01316

Not to be confused with Slickfield, which is a field full of oil. Not baby oil unfortunately…read more Smithfield was a good company, and I don't mean great but I mean good, for hams and other meats, for some things more than others, but nothing moreso than their hams. They also made good Vienna Sausage - and they still do, which is why I gave them three stars. However since the foreign ownership came in, the standards and customer service have slipped (not that they were the best in the US, but they were passable), and a lot of the ingredients have too. They also don't stand by a lot of the guarantees that made the company great. So while I give them three for now - which used to be four or five - in the near future their rating could go down to 2 or 1 if they don't discover the American business practices that made them great, and blend them with the foreign ownership capital that has allowed them to take over this company. I'm not saying American practices are the best, far from it. But in this case, when they were American owned, they were doing better by their customers.
