My five-year old attended the summer camp at Viaquenti this summer and had an amazing time. He…read moredidn't want it to end! He was so engaged and excited about all the activities they would do each day. He not only had fun but he also learned about all sorts of subjects such as geography, science, Spanish, in addition to the more summery activities like swimming and soccer. My focus when looking for a camp was for him to have fun with other kids and not necessarily to learn more school-related subjects, but I was pleasantly surprised by how much he learned about so many different things while still having fun. Although I don't have direct experience with their school year curriculum, I would assume that their approach to it is the same as during the summer, and if it is, then it's very effective for this age group. The only negative I would say about the school is that it doesn't have a green space or large-enough outdoor space. They do have a terrace that they use for some of the outdoor time but I wish there was more of a large, natural space for the kids to play at. However, I know it's not very common in this area, and even without it, my son loved the school and had a great summer. :)

Isaira and team have gone above and beyond to make us comfortable and excited each and every day we drop our boy off. The class itself is very well structured, the ongoing communication via an app with updates and photos are a welcome relief, along with regular feedback on how he is doing. Our son has developed so much in the short 2 months he's been there, especially in terms of confidence & socialization - shoutout to Ms. Nicole.

My daughter made academic and social gains while at Aleph Bet. The classrooms are clean, stocked with age-appropriate toys and there's a large backyard. All of the classroom activities are thoughtful and allowed my child to explore her interests. Highly recommend!

I had such high hopes until one incident…read moreoccurred where one child was hurt and the school closed temporarily and went through an investigation. A teacher and a teacher's aid were removed. After some time the school reopened. About a month after reopening the teacher that was removed was reinstated. My child was not involved in the incident and continued to attend. Upon speaking to a teacher during an interview I discovered awkward body language which told me there was more than meets the eye. About a couple of months went by and there was a new teacher's aid. She was not introduced to the parents. This woman did not look friendly which lead me to further investigate without the help of the school. At the students' graduation the school administrators Irene and Shirley and this particular woman that went by the name Ms. Janet did not not show up to celebrate this special moment with the students. Red flags After the last of school, I was contacted by a fellow parent stating that something serious happened at the school. I was told that Ms. Janet was hitting the children. The students were being abused by this monster. The following thought was the teachers have to have known. It broke my heart and made me mad. I write this review in hopes that you think twice about sending your child to this school if it ever reopens in the future which I hope it does not. The administration consist of young irresponsible women who do not have enough information to offer when it comes to staff members. Just a lot of ummmm uhhhh a Hamina ahamina and made up nonsense. And SHAME ON YOU TEACHERS FOR NOT PROTECTING OUR CHILDREN FROM THIS MONSTER. Kudos to the student that bravely spoke out. This review does not warrant an arrogant response. Police reports have been made to support this review.

We have had the BEST experience at Push My Swing the past two years and we are EXTREMELY sad to say…read moregood bye as our daughter Mila will be moving on to Pre-k in September. We visited several daycares in the Gramercy/Kips bay area but what stood out the most with PMS was that it had a very homey feeling and all the kids looked like they were so happy yet so well behaved! We saw an instant improvement in our daughter's behavior in the first couple of months and really appreciated how welcoming, caring, and nurturing the teachers were with her as she was one of the youngest kids at the time. Sometimes Mila would cry when we picked her up because she wanted to stay with her friends and teachers! We cannot say enough amazing things about her special teacher Jenny. Jenny has been an exceptional teacher and truly loves all the children and it really shows. She goes above and beyond and kept us updated daily on areas that my daughter needed to improve on. She devoted so much time in ensuring that Mila was succeeding academically and I cannot thank her enough for all her patience. There is an app where pictures and videos were uploaded everyday so we felt like we were really in touch and not missing out on the daily fun activities. Also, there is a huge private playground in the back where the children spend a lot of time playing which is quite unique to this type of daycare. This school has become like family to us and we are so grateful that Mila was able to spend two incredible years there. I feel like she is very well prepared for her next chapter and only hope that she will have the same level of care at her next school!

Once we started school, we saw in earnest that the teachers were very patient and kind and the kids were all so great! The photo and video updates during the day through the app were also wonderful - we felt connected with the school and the children constantly. Access to the private playground for the kids also made us feel reassured about their general safety. Our daughter stayed here 2 years until the COVID shut down. If we have another child we will 100% enroll here again.

When pressed on what could be mitigating solutions to make sure certain lapses in care do not happen again, the director became defensive and used very strong language to turn the blame on us instead. Ultimately, instead of addressing any questions or concerns, they expelled our child with false claims, and now he's happy and free, as are we.

The owner has put an immense amount of her time (I'm sure along with her experience in the field) making this school incredible exceeding every expectation i had personally. Every aspect of your child's day has been taken into consideration to make sure that your child will be learning and not being just babysat while you're at work like some other day care centers. My daughter is excited for the first time ever to go to school. She sees the owner and runs up to her and hugs her and loves all the staff. This truly is more than just a day care this really is a school environment and has structure and an amazing curriculum not that has been set by a corporate office to be followed but by an owner who wants to set your child up to love learning and be excited to to go to school! It's amazing how noticeable it is all the hard work and time and thought that has been put into creating a successful school for both the child and the parent. I cant day enough good things about this facility. What a wonderful journey we have begun sailing thanks to the amazing staff and owner!!!! If you want more than a babysitter and want to set your child up to start his or her education on a high note so your child will be excited to go to school and learn this is the place to go!!!!! Plus they have an amazing food program and even an app where you get updates everyday of what your children are doing. I was hesitant to write about my disturbing experience with this school, but the recent incident in…read morea Philadelphia Starbucks made it clear that this is a story worth telling. A few weeks ago my wife and I visited this school to see if it was a good fit for our child. We met with the school director in her office, which is just inside the main entrance and has a large window from which she can see the front door. During the one hour that we met with her ten or fifteen people came up to the entrance and rang the bell. Each time she glanced at the door and quickly buzzed them in. Although we didn't notice it yet, all of these people were white. Then a young African-American woman, maybe 25, rang the bell and the director stood up, apologized to us for interrupting the meeting, went to the front door and opened it just a crack, and said "Can I help you?" I was stunned. I turned to my wife and asked, "was that some racism?" My wife agreed. I would be inclined to give the director the benefit of the doubt--perhaps she knew all of the people she had buzzed in and simply didn't recognize the young black woman--but my wife and I had arrived separately and were each buzzed in immediately, and she had never met either of us. The character of an organization comes from the top, and this type of subtle racism and discrimination is not something we want our child exposed to.

(They also learned Mandarin!) It's a wonderful option for working parents, since it's open early and late and doesn't close as frequently as other day cares. But the best thing I can say is that the environment is warm, loving and safe. I left my children every day knowing they would have a wonderful time and be taught by teachers who were exceedingly caring. I couldn't ask for more. I have to address the negative review accusing the director of racism. The staff there is very diligent about not letting strangers in the building -- which I applaud as a parent! They absolutely stop people that they don't recognize, regardless of race (including my mother and mother-in-law when they came for pick up.) It's an extremely diverse staff and more diverse school than many in the neighborhood.

We also appreciated MLC's flexibility as we figured out the right schedule and cadence for our little guy. They worked with us every step of the way, making us feel like family!
