I walked in and was immediately distracted by all the fun novelty stuff, as well as how clean and organized the store was. I wandered over to the piercing counter and was promptly helped. I always get the same jewelry so I can't speak to how great the selection is, but they had exactly what I wanted and for cheaper than usual. Since my piercing had been out for a while, the girl at the counter recommended that I have the piercer insert it for me, so I roamed around and tried to talk myself out of buying yet another purse with skulls on it while I wait. A few minutes later, I was called back to the piercing room which was clean and everything the piercer did was hygienic. I was in, out and on my way in just a few minutes. Was everyone so friendly that they wanted to stick around and chat? No, but they were as helpful as I needed them to be and would absolutely recommend this shop to anyone looking for a piercing or a unique gift.

I came here with my brother's girlfriend over Thanksgiving from out of town. It's been a tradition…read morethat every thanksgiving when I visit, we go and get a piercing. We decided to try this place out for the first time. I wanted a double cartilage pierced and she wanted her belly button pierced. We both have many piercings and tattoos, so we both know the aftercare required to take care of them and prevent infection. The very next day my ear was pretty red and puffy, as was my brother's girlfriends, which we knew could happen. HOWEVER.. within three days of getting it done my ear was incredibly swollen all around and bruised entirely to the point it was going to my jaw. It was oozing and puss was coming out of both of them. It was so swollen it started affecting the other piercings I had in that same ear. When I got back to Chicago I went to my local piercer and he word for word said "who the hell did this?". He said a piercing should never look the way mine did, and I ended up having to go on an antibiotic for the infection and had to have ALL piercings in that ear removed including ones I have had for years. The chair, table, and tray were not sterilized in between my brothers girlfriends piercing and mine. We had been taking care of them like we would any piercing, and yet my ear is still tender to touch as of now. My friend ended up taking hers out as well due to the infection she had. Do NOT go here unless you want a botched piercing.

I then had the owner do a cover up, and it's okay but was way too expensive, also he was just complaining how much he hated tattooing and how he'd rather have a more "manual labor job." Yeah right.. My wife then got a tattoo from Diema "I think his name was, rode a chopped sporty" he was always high, and he put the tattoo at a weird angle; dropping it below the crease of her arm. Regardless another tattoo artist had to try and fix it.. All they do here is complain and want their money up front because they know they're gonna do a crappy job. So everyone should give the owner what he wants "a harder job" and don't go here.

Claire not only created a beautiful design from my inspired photo, but she also made sure the placement and coverage was everything I wanted and went beyond my expectations as a tattoo artist. You can tell she is very serious about her job, very professional and yet still warm, and very detail-oriented. She asked if I wanted it done all in one sitting and I said I did, and she worked well with me throughout my day there and I got to leave with a finished piece, which was also very important to me. I felt comfortable the whole time I was in there. I have gotten several tattoos in various establishments over the years and this by far as a young woman was the #1 place I felt comfortable walking into and being tattooed in. And for such a meaningful tattoo, this meant everything to me. The environment is aesthetically pleasing and everyone was kind. I will definitely be going back for future work and recommend to others as well.

The work she did on me took 5 full days and completely covers my entire back. The shop is very clean and comfortable, having an AirBrb as a rental option was a really nice touch as I only had to go upstairs after my daily sessions.
