Made an appointment with Rebecca, figuring she's had her business at the same location for over 20 years, so she must be pretty good. If you don't know sciatica is caused by a pinched nerve, with pain radiating from your back down your leg, and it's as painful as it sounds. Being where the pain is, I was afraid I'd sound like a creeper so was hesitant to go see a massage therapist. Rebecca was very professional, and worked hard on my whole back. I tried soft wave therapy before with little to no improvement in my range of motion. I'm currently in physical therapy, which has helped, but I was advised to add massage therapy to really loosen things up. I first tried a place in McKinney--it was okay--but nothing compared to my experience at Majestic Thai Massage. I had a session with the owner (I wish I remembered her name), and from the start, she understood exactly what my body needed. I'm not going to sugarcoat it--this type of massage can be intense and even painful at times. There were definitely moments I said "ouch," but it was a good kind of pain--the kind that you know is actually doing something. And the results? After just one session, I was able to move my shoulder more than I have in months. I honestly couldn't believe the difference. I left feeling lighter, looser, and hopeful again. I'm now planning to continue massage therapy alongside my physical therapy because I truly believe this combination is what's going to finally get me past this frozen shoulder.
