But it is really important that you do ALL of the research about the places you are shown before you agree to a contract. Remember this is how they make their living, getting you into a group home that they show you before another placement agency does. Very Important: Do NOT depend on what you are told about the facility you are shown to be accurate or even close to accurate!!! Great at telling you what you want to hear when you are under pressure to find a place for your relative and making a not so good place sound marvelous, when it is not even remotely marvelous. And what I mean by that is they will market how good the care is for your loved at any given home they show you but once you are in the home and you discover that your relative is developing infections or complains about abuse etc., the story changes.
