You will find this mural on the side of the Wheeler Mission, a local homeless shelter, overlooking one of their private parking lots. It is a simple mural that depicts the would "L-O-V-E", spelled out in American Sign Language hand movements. The hands are in monochrome black silhouettes against a tan background. I am a sucker for a positive mural and this one is no exception. It is a nice mural at the art work is very good. The artist of this piece is unknown, which I was hoping to find, to give the proper credit.
As far as parking goes, I am not sure if you can pull into lot that the mural overlooks. I guess if you are quick then it may not be an issue. Otherwise, there is metered street parking along the streets around the mural that you could use.
Anyway, as with most murals that I have visited and reviewed, this is not a long stop. I was there less than 5 minutes. So, you may want to consider planning out additional stops at many of the other attractions in the area, or making this stop part of a larger itinerary to maximize your time and trip. read more
