When reaching out initially she had a great mix of packages and add ins to fit what we were looking for. She was flexible for our engagement photos. We were traveling from out of state to do the pictures on a Saturday. It was too windy to do our pictures and she rearranged part of her schedule to do it Sunday before we left. And the pictures were amazing! Up to the wedding she was very communicative about scheduling and also was there to answer some random questions I had about weddings and give me some opinions since she's been to a lot of weddings. Day of she was great with moving through the requested family pics quickly to get family to them to the reception. She also was organized and ready to go with all the bridal party and bride/groom shots/poses and left plenty of space for candids. knew I would love the pictures after our engagement photos but they surpassed my expectations. They were beautiful and a great way to remember our wedding. Lindsey was also so helpful at the wedding!! She was always right there to find someone for me, get me some water, hold my train, etc. She helped make things less stressful! Everything was great!!

You can see it in our photos too--we look gorgeous and happy, but we also look like ourselves. Most importantly, though, we both felt validated and "seen" by her language and direction throughout the whole process. In an industry that insists on everything being so gendered, it felt really good to work with someone who understands that not everything fits into that binary. We definitely recommend Tawny, she was so great to work with!

There are few people I would feel comfortable welcoming into our home during such a tender, vulnerable time, but April is definitely one of them. She is unfailingly positive and kind as well as talented, and she has a gift for setting people at ease to get the best possible shots. (We're an awkward bunch, and don't make this easy!) As both an educator and a mother herself, April is so good with kids, and was very understanding of the needs of both our six year old and our newborn. Her background as a wedding photographer translates readily into family portrait photography, as she is able to draw out the love between family members and showcase the best qualities of the relationship between two people.

The search for photographers was overwhelming and the list was long! I emailed many photographers whose prices were too high or they simply didn't respond. I finally came across April and was instantly drawn to the soft, simple beauty of her photos. She responded quickly and her prices were great! April took the time to speak to me on the photo, text, and over email several times before our photo session. She got to know my fiance and I through a thorough questionnaire that was so fun to fill out. She even customized our photo package to best meet our specific requests and vision for our photos. On the day of the shoot, April arrived early and was already BEYOND prepared with many ideas for our photos. She helped us get comfortable in front of the camera quickly and seamlessly! I was shocked at how quickly she helped us loosen up and have a great time! Throughout the shoot she incorporated our opinions and ideas while also including her own creative vision. The result was a wide range of beautiful photos that we will treasure forever. She went ABOVE AND BEYOND to incorporate every photo that we wanted as well as the plethora of ideas and inspiration that she had. It was a GREAT experience and I feel like April really captured US through her lens. We received our photos much earlier than expected. Every single one turned out beautifully. I am SO thrilled that I chose April to photograph our engagements. BOOK WITH HER! YOU WON'T REGRET IT!

I searched Yelp, saw Bettina was based out of Dogtown, loved the samples I saw online, so gave her a shout. She suggested we meet in person to hash out the details and I hired her on the spot. She checked all the boxes any bride is looking for: - She was EXTREMELY responsive (this was a biggy for me). Honestly, she usually responded to my requests or questions the same day. - She was very easy to work with. Her go-with-the-flow attitude is definitely the vibe you want during such a stressful time. - Her pricing is very reasonable. I could not believe some of the quotes we received from other vendors. Bettina fit our budget perfectly. - Her photos are stunning. All of her work is great, but she really shines at outdoor photography. Our wedding party photos in Forest Park turned out amazing! I'm in love with them and we're getting compliments galore from family and friends that have seen them. Now that I follow Bettina on social media, I see that she does all kinds of work - family photos, senior pictures, etc. I highly recommend her if you are looking for a photographer!

Our videographer, Judd, was professional, talented, and took the time to connect with my husband and I before our ceremony. We loved his artistic ability to incorporate the important details of our wedding into our highlight video; we felt that he really listened to us and what we wanted. The finished product was great; very professional, cleanly edited, and something that we will cherish forever. However, there were some slight communication problems in the weeks leading up to our wedding and the turnover time wasn't clearly explained beforehand (we waited 4 months for our 3 1/2 minute video, almost twice the amount of time we were initially told it would take.) We also were confused about the editing process and what exactly constituted as our "final edit." While ultimately our edit requests were met, I felt like I was being annoying by asking. Not a feeling you want when you've spent thousands of dollars on a service. All of these things were very minor though and we would still highly recommend them. All in all we're VERY happy and LOVE our video! If there were a way to give 1/2 stars, this would be 4 1/2 for sure!
