My son went to Love A Keiki learning center and he loved it there! The staff is very helpful and welcoming, especially for a "helicopter mom" like me who is super attached to my child, and visa-versa. My son was extra shy at first and had a hard time adjusting being with someone other than his sitters. The staff at Love a keiki helped fully potty train and teach him manners and the basic fundamentals for kindergarten. He always gets excited when we talk about school and says he had a great day at school. Plus, it's one of the more affordable tuitions. =) The only downside is that there is no air conditioning, like a lot of schools in Hawaii. I was going to -1 star, but decided there are a lot of good stuff to make up for it. For example, field trips, holiday festivities, pizza days, water days, Ronald Mcdonald day, and a cute graduation ceremony when the children are ready to transition to Kindergarten. I would recommend Love a Keiki for a parent/child looking for a school near Kalihi/town. read more
