Our experience with Savannah Blinds was excellent. From start to finish we could not have had a…read morebetter experience. Kim Petitt was our sales consultant. She came on time, took the measurements and helped us select the blinds that best fit our needs. She communicated when we could expect to receive the blinds. They ended up being delayed due to Covid but this possibility was communicated to us during the initial consultation, so we were not surprised. Cody Harper was our installer. He did an excellent job. Showed up on time, left the home in great shape, took old blinds to be disposed of. I'm not very tech so he downloaded the app to my cell and set up a few scenes and walked me through the automation/scheduling process. We would use them again and recommend them to others.

I would give them 4-5 stars but I had a major issue with installation. When Nichole came to measure…read moreshe told me the 1 1/4 " inside molding of a sliding door was not big enough to mount the blinds. I was disappointed but agreed to mount on the wood window molding, losing that framed window look. Josh the installer assumed it was mounted on the inside metal and proceeded to mount it that way. It looked great except it was now 2" too long and 4" too wide. I agreed that Josh could take it off and mount on the molding since that was our original plan. I just wish Nichole had a better understanding of her products and installation.

We've read the reviews about the quality work Mike does when tinting cars. He also tints windows in…read moreHOMES and businesses. Some of the reasons I am thankful he has done my home follow (evidence via pictures): (Yelp won't allow pictures, so you can see them on Coastal Empire's FB page at https://www.facebook.com/CETintKings/) PRIVACY - I love looking outside when I walk through my house. It's surrounded by nature and beauty. I used to have to close the blinds during the day to keep out some of the heat and wandering eyes looking in. Now I leave the blinds and curtains open all day, because minimal heat enters and as seen in pic #2, from outside you can't see in, you just see a reflection of what it outside. PROTECTION - Hoping I don't have to test this, but in my mind there won't be shattered glass everywhere during a hurricane, it'll be held together by the film which is way better than using tape (which is also a dead giveaway that you aren't home). COMFORT - There are no cold spots in my house anymore, just a constant ambient temperature without variations. I keep the thermostat lower - because of the consistent temperature I don't need to drop it a few degrees to cool a hot spot. STURDY - As you can see in pic #1, it's important my cats can perch all day, watching nature. They LOVE it. Because birds outside cannot see inside, only their reflection, they come very close to the window which thrills the cats. Me too, actually. I have never seen so many bluebirds. My initial worry was that the suction cups would pull at the film, and when I told Mike that, he just said, "Let's try it, if it doesn't work, I'll re-tint the window." WHAT?! Who says that kind of stuff? A true professional, that's who. Anyway, we tried, and NO DAMAGE from the cups. So, these windows are open to nature all day long, and the perches are used constantly. Sylvester, pictured, clocks in at 10 lbs., so it can take some weight. SAVINGS - This year's average temperature in Savannah for the month of May was 5° HIGHER per DAY. Times 31 days, it has been significantly hotter than normal, and definitely hotter than last year. With all that extra heat, my cooling bill only increased $8 for the same period compared to last year. And it's way more comfortable inside. Truth be told, all the windows weren't done in May either, so I bet it'll be less in the future. LESS SUN DAMAGE/CANCER EXPOSURE - There are spots in my house where the sun has bleached the hardwood, due to the exposure to the sun's rays. No more - the tint prevents the sun damage to my things and to my skin. I can't pick just one reason to get your house windows tinted, so provided a few. Pick the ones most important to you, and give Mike a call at 912-800-1088. He can help you decide, provide information, and quote a price. Honestly, you can't spend you money more efficiently.
