Just outside of the town of Boyle this is a very nice old manor home turned B&B to stay in. On a farm next to the Forest Park, chickens and a peacock wander the grounds and there is a lovely floral and herb garden to sit in. Rooms are on the small size but comfortable with chairs in the rooms. Everything functioned well and was clean. Loads to look at in the public rooms downstairs, plus an honor bar. We were welcomed warmly and shown where to find information on local eateries, etc. A full cooked breakfast around a communal dining table - the hostess will introduce you to others. You have your choice of typical Irish, pancakes, eggs with salmon or just continental. Very tasty. Good value! read more
