I was a little bit early to my lunch reservation at a restaurant just nearby Lou Lou and decided to stop in for a few minutes to browse. In just a few minutes, I found some jewelry and a leather clutch that I really loved. But I found myself wishing I had a few more minutes so that I could try on some clothes that looked beautiful! Bottom Line: Lots of fun bits and baubles for perfectly accessorizing any outfit and plenty of gifty items too. I really enjoy Lou Lou and the downtown Annapolis location in particular. Its quite large and has a huge selection of jewelry, accessories, cards, and such. I always look at various scarves, the Hobo bags, dangling earrings and the stationary and cards. Sometimes I sniff a candle or lotion along the way too. Over the years I have acquired a good amount of fashion jewelry from this store and I've been happy with it. The prices are really reasonable too. On my most recent trip I was pleased to get some Christmas stuff 70% off and some fresh cards made by a local artist. To visit this store I usually park in the Noah Hillman garage just one block off of Main Street and then its a quick walk to the store. My review is for the plus sized 40 something associate at Lou Lou's who perfectly understood my lack of a belt situation! She sadly informed me that the store had no plus sized offerings, but said she would cut me a piece of ribbon for me! i tell you she saved the day and night! i danced without worry of falling pants! many thanks to the kind stranger for her assistance! 3.5 stars! If you like baubles and accessories and all things girly-chic... this is the place for you. This boutique is like Urban Outfitters' more cultured, refined and well-traveled older sister. It's full of statement necklaces, chunky bracelets, stackable rings, scarves in lots of fun, abstract prints plus many other unique items. There are also perfumes, lip balms and all kinds of other purse must-haves. Speaking of purses, their selection is ok; mostly solid colored bags (I'm more of a texture and print kinda girl). I think they have wallets, make up bags and coin purses as well. The price of this stuff is moderate; about what you'd pay at a boutique at the mall. But unlike the mall, the pieces you find here you're far less likely to catch someone else wearing as you sashay into your share of this season's holiday parties. There's a bit of edginess to this place too, to keep it from being excessively girly. Check out the stationery section in the back for some of THE most hilarious tongue-in-cheek greeting cards you will ever see! No mushy Hallmark sentiments here. These cards are sure to get a laugh, and maybe a dropped jaw or two. If you're looking for one-of-a-kind gifts, cards and accessories this place is definitely worth a visit. read more

Yikes! Sensory overload! When you first walk in this store, you can easily be overwhelmed by the colors and the bling in this store. You need to have an accessory mission when you come in. You need to know what (earings, necklace, scarf, bracelet etc) and what color you want so that you don't wast 4 hours wandering around this store. There are so many pieces to look at you could easily get sucked in here. Dudes, there are a few bars down the street, that's probably your best bet while your favorite chica shops here. You will mostly likely be able to get at least 2 beers down before she's ready to leave.. The store is organized by color and metal color. So it makes it easy to find what you need. Not only do they have jewelry, but they have purses, scarves, shoes and more scarves and stationary. They are all very chic and very cute. This isn't high end stuff, but still cute. I'd say that it is much more grown up looking than Claire's but not high quality or fine jewelry. It's more like costume jewelry. Much like jewelry you'd find in Premier Jewelry catalog. The prices are not bad at all. They range from $5-$40. Not too bad. If you absolutely can not find a piece to match your outfit, you can probably find it here. All in all this is a great store. There's nothing like it on Main Street. I think this is a great location for it. While I will miss the old store that used to be here (Paradigm) I very much welcome this cute accessory store here in DTA. read more

It's that time of the year at work and secret Santa. I was given a scarf and soap not my colors on the scarf and not my scent. I was gifted both items in the colorful Lou Lou bag. I went in tonight to exchange the scarf color as well as the scent of the soap. No deal without a gift receipt. Too awkward to ask co-worker for gift receipt. What a shame they couldn't be more accommodating. I will not be back. read more

Lou Lou is SUCH a CUTE store, a girl's paradise, filled to the brim with earings, bracelets, necklaces, hats, scarves, stationary, and purses gallore. Lou Lou is kind of like an upscale Claires - you know its true! Jewelry is arranged by color schemes (turquiose! gold! ruby!) on tables scattered throughout the store and is super reasonably priced (around $10?! yes please, I'll take a matching set). Excellent find in Annapolis! And, thanks to Yelp, I just discovered that they have stores in DC....score! read more

So cute and fun! I needed a new handbag that would work well whether I was in school or not and I found it here! They have tons of jewelry! All colored coated and sparkly, you can't help but watch it shimmer. Their handbag selection is wonderful as well and it was very VERY hard to choose. I got a gorgeous brown leather messenger bag that was not too small and not too big, just right for me! The vary from different price ranges from very affordable to expensive. This store is pretty cool at first glance but they do not accept returns for refunds! Only returns for store credit. I bought a gift for my wife which she didn't care for and we discovered we were stuck with store credit. Since we were visiting from out of town and don't live near a location we were really stuck AND their online store is very limited in terms of styles and selection. In fact, they had more selection in the store than on their website. So shop at your own risk, you really have to be sure it's right otherwise you are in trouble. Never buy a gift here. I like to support local shops but not with that type of policy, next time I will window shop and then order online from a place that accepts returns if it doesn't work out. I love this store! So much to choose from but the employees are extremely rude. I had about $70 worth of items in my hand and went to the resister. I had asked the girl behind the resister a curious question about one of their products and she answered me in a snarky way. I was so shocked and taken back by the way she was talking to me that I left and only purchased the item I really needed. They lost about $60 that day because of the way their employee talked to me. There is no need for me to go back there again. My business will be elsewhere. read more

My favorite store! This is probably one of the many reasons I am coming back to Annapolis for a second year in a row! We always come for Halloween! This store is my favorite! The accessories, the purses and the giftware is by far the best I've see! I'm from NJ we have tons of stores but nothing this great! The quality of the merchandise is way better! First time here... Tons of cute accessories and knick knacks( hair clips, cards, etc). Good place to get a gift for a friend and a little something for yourself. This is such a gorgeous store! Brightly colored purses, scarves, jewelry, watches, hats, BRALETTES and more!!! The way everything is displayed makes it such fun to shop there. It's the kind of place you want to visit even when you aren't looking for anything.. you KNOW you'll find something fun there. I really appreciate that this is a store where my daughters and I can BOTH find things we love! Great staff people, always very friendly, and happy to show me how to accessorize. Cheap products and bad customer service. My daughter went in with a friend to buy some accessories, she is extremely tiny so finding things like chokers can be hard. There were two girls behind the register so she approached to ask if they thought it would fit and they laughed and ask oh what do you have a small neck (she was wearing a thick scarf) to which she replied actually yes. She was instructed to try it on and I guess she really does have a small neck because guess what it didn't fit. She did however buy a few other things one of which being a ring. Now obviously she knew that this was not a "real" ring for $10 but never expected that within a few days not only did she have a green finger but the entire ring was tarnished. Being young she had thrown away her receipt so she took the ring in to ask for an exchange or store credit to which the same rude lady who asked if she had a small neck (manager) told her NO and why you ask because it wasn't in the condition it was bought in...NO DUHHHHHHHHH that's why she brought it back. You're selling cheap gum ball pieces that are worth $.25 charging $10 and up you should be ashamed of yourself and your piss poor service. Furthermore you should know better than to ever question someone about their body even if you think it's silly or innocent you never know what someone may be or have gone through. The store is super cute and after being in the store for 10 minutes we were approached by a sales person and were told that they were closing at 8 and if we wanted to buy anything we shoudl take it up to the register now. I got the jist that she wanted us to leave as when we walked in they were already vacuuming the store. It was only 7:40 when she told us this. If they needed to close early they should have posted this on the front door. I felt like we were being pushed out of the store. Not cool! read more
