The tom yum soup is small but packs a punch. They do a tomato-y version, which gives it body and something to cut the spice. And it is super spicy, just like it should be. Papaya salad was my favorite - super tasty! Not sure why they added corn + chicken, because this salad was delish all on its own. Again, extreme levels of spice, balanced with delicious crunchy green papaya. The ginger basil chicken with green beans was solid. It reminded me of meals you can grab on the streets of Bangkok, which is a huge compliment! The place is managed by a friendly Thai lady who makes everything herself. She literally smashes chilis and sauces and spices in a stone bowl. Because of this, the food took a little longer, but the authenticity was totally worth it.

But first of all back to the first statement they look like a typical Thai Imbiss in Düsseldorf, however they took 37 minutes for a take out order during which we waited in the car (first they said 20 minutes) way tooooo long. But then my wife went back inside to pick up the food after 15 minutes and saw its far from ready but she also saw they made the spice mixes fresh from scratch by hand in a stone bowl with crusher... yummy! Also the prices were not exactly Imbiss prices like 8-10 euro per dish, however also not full blown restaurant prices. So I said this better be good, oh and it was. We had papaya chicken salad, very flavorful, good combination of acid and fruit and I think I could taste fish sauce as well... The duck breast curry was just awesome. Ingredients included real Thai eggplant (the small round green ones) single peeled grapes (now I know what takes so much time), lychee and lime leaves as well as the usual suspects... Oh and not to forget the really juicy and tender duck breast. The combination with the freshly made spice mix was just a taste explosion - In a very good way. The fried rice was rather boring but that was also due to the fact that we said our baby boy is eating that as well and I am sure he is not yet into Thai taste explosions. The portions were rather big and we, 2 1/2 people, could eat twice. And it truly felt I am eating in Thailand... My new go to place for Thai food (but I will pre order for take out now that I have a menu at home).
