In the grand tradition of Ron Popeil, Fog City Auctions is truly a "Set it and forget it" shop…read more Andrew is able to provide a one stop location for your auction needs. He is able to take your items, research the current market value and provide a strategy to get the most value for your treasures. From managing the listing time, auction type, starting price point, and managing offers as received, he provides an end to end whirlwind of eBay jujitsu. I have used other auctions sites before (because I am essentially useless on listing eBay items myself), and Fog City Auctions is my go to from now on. Pros: - Full service site (handles research, listing and relisting if needed, payments, shipping, insurance, and manages any customer issues) - Responsive and patient (it is like working with a close friend who values your time and money) - Fair prices - Experienced staff Cons: - None yet!!! Do yourself a favor; clean out your closet, contact Fog City Auctions, and get $$$$ for your unused/old/collectible/unique items today!

He's great about responding to phone calls or emails promptly. He likes to price items higher, at least at first, and then lower them if necessary after a while. I had unusual items, many Asian or handcarved, and approximately half of them have sold. I recommend Fog City Auctions to anyone looking to get rid of any good stuff for the best price. He's absolutely great to work with!

They sent me an invoice for the bowl, shipping and their description "all risk, door to door" insurance for the bowl. I paid it in full, It arrived in January 2024- in 20-30 broken pieces. I figured no problem- named company and their shipper and insuror. Boy was I wrong- their position- zero responsibility. We'll keep your approximately $5000 and you can keep the shards- and their guarantees and insurance don't apply. Why did they sell, and I take insurance ? They seem to prefer send the items off in commerce and if they happen to get there OK then fine, but if they don't they will just keep saying NO. Unless you can pick up locally in LA, NYC or London- don't do business with these scammers!!

These people have no true experts that cant be rivaled or excelled by any other auction house, and they keep 38% of the sales price? How is the input and effort from a bunch of clowns worth 38% (i.e 40%). I wish I had never used them a waste of 6 months of effort to be placed on a sad tuesday afternoon auction. Avoid at all costs. You can do better.

The business is enormous, housed in a huge warehouse on Bayshore. I only wish it were double it's size, and that my home were double the square footage so I could buy more! Grand Central Station Antiques hits the sweet spot with quality and price. I can say without a doubt that you will not find a larger selection anywhere in the Bay Area at these prices. Robert, who's been running the business for decades, is extremely knowledgeable, friendly, and always helpful in locating the perfect item for one's home. I have included pictures of some of my favorite and unusual finds. My friends all joke that I now present as a rich heiress, but the truth is, is that I spent comparatively little in furnishing my apartment with items I found at Grand Central Station Antiques. Purchasing antiques provides quality you just can't find in newly manufactured furniture, and honestly, one won't pay more (or much more) than their modern equivalencies. Antiques have soul, history, and create rich warmth and beauty for your home - priceless! Note that Grand Central Station Antiques will also provide careful, professional delivery for a very reasonable extra charge.

The prices are always fair and the selection is like no other in the Bay Area. I have a particular interest in bookcases and shelves to house a growing book collection. At GCSA I've discovered a number of wonderful European 19th and 20th century classic items to display our collections, as well as beautiful oriental rugs, art pieces and practical household items. You won't be disappointed with the wide selection and the outstanding care which Robert and his team apply to their merchandise. I can also attest to the prompt delivery and exceptional attention given by the delivery team to delicate and heavy items. One extremely large (over 9 ft wide and nearly 12 ft high) walnut Victorian bookcase with glass doors had to be installed as a single piece. It was expertly handled and placed. You won't be disappointed. I've attached a few images of pieces found at GCSA that I treasure.
