Pan Pacific Whistler Village Centre - Kitchen

I spoke to two different concierges (whoever answered the mainline each time I called claimed to be one). I was shocked to find the concierges spoke down to me, failed to listen to me when I was asking for information - substituting instead their assumptions of what they thought I was going to ask for, and insultingly tried to explain to me how websites and phones worked. In addition, they appeared to lack any independent knowledge about who to contact for what. Instead, they would refer me to Google. Had Google answered my questions, I would not have had to call the concierges in the first place. Twenty-four hours before we were to arrive, we learned we could not travel to Canada because our 4.5 month old puppy would not be allowed back into the US until she was 6 months old. I tried to find puppy care on this short notice, but could not. I immediately called bookings.com for help, and they said they were happy to refund me, but Pan Pacific had to approved it before they could do so. Bookings.com wrote and asked for the refund the day before we were to arrive. In addition, I personally called and emailed Pan Pacific that afternoon and again the following morning, asking to cancel with a refund or reschedule for July or August when our pup would meet the US's 6month age requirement. The following day, I received an email from Pan Pacific refusing to refund my prepayment - even though we would not be able to come. They also falsely characterized my request as a same day cancellation. This is not some small B&B or family-owned hotel that may not be able to handle cancellations or for whom a cancellation of a three-night stay in their cheapest room class could have serious financial consequences. The Pan Pacific Hotels Group has a multitude of hotels in at least thirteen countries and advertise on their website that there are more coming soon. I can't think of a single reason why they wouldn't just let me postpone my reservation to later in the summer if they couldn't afford to simply cancel and refund my $700US and change (the total cost of all three nights). Also frustratingly, after refusing to refund my money for a room I couldn't use, they said they would provide me the "courtesy" of adding my family members' names to the reservation. My reservation was for myself, my 12 year-old, and our puppy - all of which was disclosed to them upon reserving the room. Clearly putting the room in my child's or puppy's name accomplishes nothing. And since I paid for the room, shouldn't they be required to let my designee stay in it? Is that really a courtesy? In my opinion, their "courtesy" was a meaningless, valueless platitude that felt, and was intended to feel, dismissive and rude. I truly miss the days of customers being valued and treated with a modicum of respect - or, at the very least, treated with the intention of creating customer goodwill and /or trying to obtain repeat business. Pan Pacific Whistler Village Centre really appears not to care at all about their customer experience. And if that's true, wouldn't it be far better to stay at - and support - a hotel that does?

Five stars simply isn't enough…read more From the moment we began planning our stay, the service was exceptional. Elise made booking spa treatments effortless, and the concierge provided wonderful restaurant recommendations before we even arrived. Lila at the front desk gave us the perfect first impression--warm, welcoming, and genuinely helpful. We arrived to find chocolate-covered strawberries and a "Happy Anniversary" note waiting in our suite, which was such a thoughtful surprise. The spa experience was outstanding from start to finish. Ali welcomed me with tea and a warm towel before showing me around the beautiful facilities. Caitlin, the spa director, was attentive and made sure everything was perfect. My massage with Zdenka was incredible, and the scalp massage and mask add-on was absolutely divine. I was even surprised with an anniversary gift of spa products when I checked out. The exceptional service continued throughout our stay. The pool service was attentive and relaxing (aside from a few persistent bees!), and the breakfast server--wish I could remember his name-- quickly turned around a small issue at the omelette station (with the inattentive omelette cook) by bringing us a delicious omelette directly to our table. Our room was beautiful, with a peaceful view that we especially enjoyed from the balcony. The turndown service was a lovely touch, and the Four Seasons app made every interaction seamless and convenient. What stood out most was that every staff member seemed genuinely committed to creating a memorable experience. This was one of the most relaxing and enjoyable hotel stays we've had, and we're already planning our next trip back.

We loved every second of our anniversary celebration. They gave us coupon for free drinks as well which was great. The spa was beautiful and exquisite. Shuttle service to the village is convenient. The only thing I wish was that they mentioned beforehand that valet parking overnight costs 58 CAD which is pretty pricey to not disclose upfront(on our Amex UI). The in room dining service was amazing. My Bolognese pasta was perfectly cooked and husband's Malay curry was great too!

We got to enjoy skiing in whistler while staying at the Westin for only 40% of the price it normally is in the busy ski season. The customer service is top notch. They delivered slippers to our room on request. Then we went down to the pool and hot tub area. The hot tub outside is perfect because the water is extra hot and you can cool off in the freezing outside air when you need a break. They also have both a dry sauna and steam sauna. Our friends recommended we check out this other sauna in whistler. But with what we experienced here, this has everything I want. And if you're unfamiliar with the area, understand that this is very close to the whistler gondola. I'm talking a 5min walk. We came here from Seattle so we brought our skis and parked in the garage. We start our day by going down to the parking garage, putting on our ski gear, then walking like five min to the lift. When we come back from skiing, we either walk to a restaurant right around the corner, or we get some steaks from the local market (6min walk) and cook it in the room. Not sure if all Rooms have this but ours had a full kitchen setup.

We ended up putting in two more orders of the wings because they were absolutely delicious, followed by the sweet potato fries, the mozzarella sticks and a chicken sandwich to go. All the food was pretty standard, relatively cheap compared to the area we were in, but they do not do to go orders so we had to flip everything into to go containers, which was fine. This is a 3 star hotel at best. Minimal services--no room service, no bottled water in the room,…read moreno mini bar, no dresser or any place to put folded clothing- 3 small drawers in the closet of a 1 bedroom suite. Room and bathroom were old and and shabby- as were elevators--peeling paint throughout. Looked like it hasn't been painted or refreshed in 15 years. All areas of this place in desperate need of upkeep, even simple painting would make a difference. If you want anything in your room-- salad, dinner , breakfast- you have to pick it up yourself from the downstairs area. The Den- supposedly their nice restaurant, is overpriced and served the same wooden utensils that we got on the plane from LAX--I've included a photo of the kale salad below-- $24.00. This wouldn't be so bad if we had expected an older motel. But for $14k for a week (a one bedroom suite and a 2 bedroom suite) this was a huge disappointment. The staff was very nice and apologetic- however I would not recommend this hotel if you are looking for a luxury experience or for services. This is more like a glorified motel. The final straw --This morning I asked for laundry service and was told I had to go to the garage to wash and dry my own clothes. Never again at Nita Lake Lodge. This was an utter waste of money. For what did we pay almost $15K? 2/19/26
