The guys arrived at the appointed time, and wasted no time getting to work, and did a great job. Our trees needed thinning, and cleaning up of dead branches, and we wanted to keep the height under control, so as not impair our neighbors view. The trees look great...not hacked or chopped. All trimmings and leaves were removed, leaving our yard looking great. Jose and his crew arrived on time, in spite of the rain, to remove our large eucalyptus tree. Because the tree was in the back yard, a boom truck with bucket was not an option. Jose climbed the tree and using ropes and equipment, skillfully and carefully took down the eucalyptus a section at a time. Nothing fell into our neighbors yard which is just a few feet from the tree, and there was no damage to a playhouse and swing set right under the tree. The cut tree sections were carried to the shredder and nothing was dragged over the yard. When done, the whole area was clean and tidy. We would recommend Jose and his crew without hesitation. Our experience with this company was with the new owner, Jose Ramirez, and his crew (now Ramirez Tree Service I think). We needed one 50-60 foot eucalyptus removed and a couple 10 to 15 foot high bare trunks as well as dead branch thinning. These guys were available earlier than expected and were prompt, affordable, courteous and METICULOUS. Our property looked spic and span after they left. When Jose felt thinning some older trees would significantly alter our street appearance, he stopped work and consulted us before proceeding. A couple of the crew returned the next day at our request to remove some wooden structures on the property that we hadn't found anyone to remove. Again efficient, METICULOUS handling of a messy job. These guys are the best. Fast and efficient but also quite careful and on budget. Jose and his family crew removed a 90 foot pine tree in close quarters between my house and my garage (which has solar panels). It was amazing to see pieces of the tree come down that just barely fit in the patio area which was designated as a landing area for tree parts as they took it down. No room for a crane so the tree was removed piece by piece, yet they were finished in 2 days including grinding the massive stump. It's quite a sight to see somebody 80 feet up hanging onto a tree trunk and roping down pieces of tree when each piece would qualify as a small tree in many yards. I'm very pleased with them and would recommend them highly to anyone in our area. By the way they are also known as Ramirez Tree Service. A nice plus is that it is the business owner, Jose Gomez, who gives the bid, runs the job and goes up in the tree, rare these days. Javier no longer runs the tree service, Jose took it over from him. I had them out for the first time today, and I was really impressed. Jose worked on a very awkward looking tree and by the time he was finished, it was graceful looking. The tree was in the middle of a shrub border, and he managed to trim it without trampling any plants or messing up the drip irrigation sprayers. His crew did an amazing job of cleaning up as well. They made sure every bit of leaves and twigs were picked up. You would never know they had been there, except for the tree looking so much better. I thought the price was reasonable, too. Also, I first contacted them on a Saturday evening, leaving a voicemail that I didn't expect would be returned until Monday morning. I hired these guys last week to get rid of a monstrous yucca tree and a palm tree which was growing in a very tricky location and 3 other small trees in addition to root removal and grinding. They were very economical compared to other estimates I received. Cris and his team worked fast and clean. I am still amazed at how they took down the yucca. It was a almost 3000 pounds and according to Cris, its base was 8ft by 12ft! They did a complete job and my yard looks much bigger than they started. Once again Los Osos Tree Service saved the day!!!!! First of all Jose called to say he would be 15 mins late and it was not even that!!! I respect that type of considerate communication! This time, we needed a moderate size limb trimmed way back to avoid it landing on our deck. Jose climbs like a monkey!!!
