We used Jose and his crew a couple of months ago (and actually for the second time since we have lived in this house)..we have several oak trees on our property here in Los Osos. The guys arrived at the appointed time, and wasted no time getting to work, and did a great job. Our trees needed thinning, and cleaning up of dead branches, and we wanted to keep the height under control, so as not impair our neighbors view. The trees look great...not hacked or chopped. All trimmings and leaves were removed, leaving our yard looking great. We will definitely have Jose and his crew back when the trees need trimming again...I recommend Los Osos Tree Service without qualification. read more

Jose and his team did amazing work. He came by to give me a quote the same day I called him. They came back to do the work and removed 6-7 trees as well as trimming back a 35' + acacia tree. It was very impressive how quickly and efficiently the team worked together. They were very respectful of the property lines to ensure no debris dropped into our neighbors property. It was a pleasure to work with Los Osos Tree Service again. read more

Excellent service, very responsive, work completed on time, on budget, safety, with good clean up. I've had these same trees trimmed 4-5 times throughout the years, and Los Osos Tree Service definitely did the best work I've seen. Thanks so much! read more

Jose and his crew arrived on time, in spite of the rain, to remove our large eucalyptus tree. Because the tree was in the back yard, a boom truck with bucket was not an option. Jose climbed the tree and using ropes and equipment, skillfully and carefully took down the eucalyptus a section at a time. Nothing fell into our neighbors yard which is just a few feet from the tree, and there was no damage to a playhouse and swing set right under the tree. The cut tree sections were carried to the shredder and nothing was dragged over the yard. When done, the whole area was clean and tidy. We would recommend Jose and his crew without hesitation. He is ethical, clearly takes pride in his business, is very professional and is priced fairly. Fran and Tony Harrell read more

Our experience with this company was with the new owner, Jose Ramirez, and his crew (now Ramirez Tree Service I think). We needed one 50-60 foot eucalyptus removed and a couple 10 to 15 foot high bare trunks as well as dead branch thinning. These guys were available earlier than expected and were prompt, affordable, courteous and METICULOUS. Our property looked spic and span after they left. When Jose felt thinning some older trees would significantly alter our street appearance, he stopped work and consulted us before proceeding. A couple of the crew returned the next day at our request to remove some wooden structures on the property that we hadn't found anyone to remove. Again efficient, METICULOUS handling of a messy job. Our place looks great. This company is now our go-to for any tree/yard-related work. No question! read more

Jose was wonderful to work with and his work ethic is bar none. Los Osos was the best price among 5 bids and the end product exceeded my expectations. He and his crew were prompt, responsive, and left the grounds cleaner than they found it. I had tricky trees to remove too close to the house, and he ground them down with no signs that they were ever there. My palms look fantastic and the oak tree never looked better. I will be using them again in the future without hesitation. read more

These guys are the best. Fast and efficient but also quite careful and on budget. Jose and his family crew removed a 90 foot pine tree in close quarters between my house and my garage (which has solar panels). It was amazing to see pieces of the tree come down that just barely fit in the patio area which was designated as a landing area for tree parts as they took it down. No room for a crane so the tree was removed piece by piece, yet they were finished in 2 days including grinding the massive stump. It's quite a sight to see somebody 80 feet up hanging onto a tree trunk and roping down pieces of tree when each piece would qualify as a small tree in many yards. I'm very pleased with them and would recommend them highly to anyone in our area. By the way they are also known as Ramirez Tree Service. A nice plus is that it is the business owner, Jose Gomez, who gives the bid, runs the job and goes up in the tree, rare these days. Their price was very reasonable, great communication and timeliness, they clean up when they are done and don't cause damage. Don't bother looking elsewhere. read more

I do my own tree trimming but generate a few minivan sized piles in fall and spring that Jose and crew have chipped at my drive for three years. Great taking and returning of calls, service, price, and spotless when they leave. Best of all, in the storms in winter '23 they answered a call for help and took down a 50 foot tree in the remote corner of my yard by climbing before it leaned further into my neighbor. Just fantastic. read more

Javier no longer runs the tree service, Jose took it over from him. I had them out for the first time today, and I was really impressed. Jose worked on a very awkward looking tree and by the time he was finished, it was graceful looking. The tree was in the middle of a shrub border, and he managed to trim it without trampling any plants or messing up the drip irrigation sprayers. His crew did an amazing job of cleaning up as well. They made sure every bit of leaves and twigs were picked up. You would never know they had been there, except for the tree looking so much better. I thought the price was reasonable, too. Also, I first contacted them on a Saturday evening, leaving a voicemail that I didn't expect would be returned until Monday morning. Jose called me back Saturday night, came out and estimated the job on Sunday, and did the job Monday afternoon. Really great service. read more

Highly recommend Ramirez Tree Service (previously Los Osos Tree Service). Jose worked with my boss in SLO, trimming many mature trees, including a large oak and palm. She was incredibly happy with the results! These are her thoughts on her experience, "Ramirez Tree Service was priced very competitively, cleaned up beautifully, very accommodating, kept his appointments, and was overall really great and easy to work with." She will be reaching out to Jose/Ramirez Tree Service anytime she needs more tree work done. Thanks for the 5 star service, Jose and team!! :) read more

Awesome job! These guys are professional. You will b so happy if u hire them. Guaranteed an awesome job

I hired these guys last week to get rid of a monstrous yucca tree and a palm tree which was growing in a very tricky location and 3 other small trees in addition to root removal and grinding. They were very economical compared to other estimates I received. Cris and his team worked fast and clean. I am still amazed at how they took down the yucca. It was a almost 3000 pounds and according to Cris, its base was 8ft by 12ft! They did a complete job and my yard looks much bigger than they started. Cris is quite knowledgeable about plants and trees and gives you great advice. I would definitely use them again for future tree services. read more

The best tree service I used so far in the 25yrs+ since we've in SLO. Jose was prompt, very clean, fair priced and organized and every tree on the property looks great now! He is the guy that actually do most of the work so he knows his stuff! I had to trim out a very tall eucalyptus tree every 5 yrs or so in addition to my other 2 trees on the property. Jose responded really quickly to set up an evaluation and scheduled the appointment. I was very impressed how well he trimmed the tall eucalyptus. In addition he cleaned up a stumped that the other tree service left several years, and he trim 2 other trees in the property plus many other small trees and bushes. I highly recommend Los Osos Tree Service! read more

Jose and his team (aka Ramirez Tree Service) did a great job of radically pruning two large eucalyptus trees (needed pruning before winds risk damage). I was so impressed with their professionalism and consideration. They were very careful not to damage nearby trees and shrubs. Jose can be depended on to be there when he says, and he does it all for a reasonable charge. I highly recommend him! read more

We recently worked with our neighbor and hired Javi and his crew to trim two Cypress trees that were obstructing our view. In addition, the trees had quite a few dead branches that needed to be cleared out. Javi came out and provided a concise explanation about the condition of the trees and what needed to be done. When time came for the work, it rained and we had to postpone. Javi communicated with us on a daily basis and re-scheduled a couple of days later. The work he did was amazing, and he was reasonable and easy to work with. I give Los Osos Tree Service my highest recommendation. read more

Once again Los Osos Tree Service saved the day!!!!! First of all Jose called to say he would be 15 mins late and it was not even that!!! I respect that type of considerate communication! This time, we needed a moderate size limb trimmed way back to avoid it landing on our deck. Jose climbs like a monkey!!! He demonstrated a smart plan to avoid excessive damage from trampling on our ivy, which is our manicured landscape for our sloping property on the banks of our creek!!!! Jose directed his 2 good assistances, using few words and they all were quiet going about their job from the beginning straight through clean up!!! In the past, we have experienced loud crews yelling to one another through out the day, so this was refreshing again!!!! Excellent job Jose and crew!!!! We will continue to use you and spread the news to our friends and neighbors!!! Thank you, you're the best...same quality as Mattson Ruddell !!!! read more
