That was issue 1. Issue 2. Went to use the ironing board, (within 3 min of getting into the room) which was hanging on the ironing board rest, and it was broken. We use the ironing board to add more counter top area for a small carry on. Called down to let her know the board was broken so they wouldn't charge us for breaking us. She offered to bring up a different one and we declined since we were going to make do. Issue 3. Went to take a shower, and found a very dried out, hairy washcloth hanging on the inside door rack of the shower. Hairs inside the shower and on the bar soap rest. Husband went to talk to the front desk gal, and dropped it onto the ledge at the check-in, and told her this was in the shower. She said he threw it at her, and went off on him. She would not have a conversation about the issue. She offered a different room, which he declined. He also apologized, which I don't think he should have done. I went down after he came back up to the room and had the same experience with her. She went on and on about how he threw the washcloth at her, so, I asked if we couldn't just talk about the issue and was interrupted. I asked if I could finish what I was trying to say. I just wanted to talk about the issue and what Holiday Inn Express could do for me, since there was clearly several issues. She agreed and went right back to how rude she thought my husband was and that she's a person, not a robot, etc. I had to bring her back around to the Issue and said I would change the room. Which we did. Issue 4. She sitting down was doing flower crafts at the front desk, and sat the whole time we had the "discussion" Issue 5. When asked for her name, she said, ask the manager in the morning. Issue 6. Quite alot of water on the floor in the lobby area in several places. UPDATE!! .. Husband talked to the front desk manager, Phillip this morning and told him of his experience with the clerk the previous night and showed him this review. He said her behavior was not acceptable and ended up compensating us. Apparently, the gal who"helped" us, Rachel was her name, had given 2 weeks notice and that was her last night. Phillip was extremely kind and generous, and went above and beyond our expectations. Thank you Phillip!!

My stay here was wonderful! Not only was the price for a one night stay worth it. Their FREE…read morebreakfast was delicious and in my opinion was in a very nice dining hall and it made me feel very important and fancy, you know? The dining area was really neat and clean and it gave me a luxurious feel and I can appreciate it very much because to me it shows that they are put a lot of care into making sure their guests are taken care of. I called ahead to see if there was availability first, what rooms were available and what time check out was. The photos of the hotel were very lovely and I loved that the pool was so big and nice so I was excited about being able to swim in it too. Unfortunately, their pool was closed (chained up), and I wish there was a warning sign about that because I really wanted to swum and it looked really nice. Again, their dining hall for the free breakfast was so nice. I thoroughly enjoyed breakfast and only wished my family had joined me because they had hot and fresh eggs, grits, sausages, oatmeal, biscuits and fruits, oranges. The spread was definitely amazing and the one to beat. You could make your own waffles, they had cereal (Kix and Fruit Loops), yogurt and toast and just so much! I'll share a video of what I saw. Check out was at 11am. It was roughly $107 in total for a one night stay and that was a very reasonable price in compared to our previous stay at another hotel/motel in Arizona (please refer to that review). Checking in was really quick and the woman at the desk when I checked in was very accommodating. We checked out right before 11am and had to drive roughly 8 hours home when I realized I left some headphones in our suite. Called to ask them about it the next day and was told by the woman on the phone (that I will assume is the Manager), Heather, to call back the next day (she's working) and she'll get something squared away so that I can have my headphones back. I truly appreciate that so much and it's one of the reasons why I gave this place 5 stars.

And threaten us that she will call cops on us! I told her go ahead but my husband told me don't waste my time on her! This kind of person should not be in front desk as she has a bad customer service. I travel for work and this kind of atittude is outrageous, I never experienced thus kind of disrespectful. This complain will reach the corporate.

I was in the fourth day of my ambitious 2-month bicycle odyssey, pedaling West from El Paso/Cd…read more Juarez to Tijuana/West Coast on Ruta Dos, which is incredibly challenging as it has no shoulder/potholes/ crumbling asphalt. However, ALL of the (motor) vehicle operators were 100% cautious, always careful when passing me, including the 18- & 34-wheelers. I feel safer bicycling in Mexico than in the USA! Anyway, I entered Janos 13JUN2017 with great relief to finally get this far; I was ecstatic to see this fine hotel open and ready for guests (me/my Doublevision), especially since it also had air conditioning. I did have to move the furniture a wee bit to get my Doublevision inside, but I was absolutely secure & comfortable in this budget hotel. The most important aspect was being cool inside--it was Summer and rather warm outside. Another aspect was that I could go across the street to Del Rio, a convenience store which took my VISA charge card and bought much needed nutritional items, essential to keep my body going whilst pedaling throughout the day. I also stocked up on travel foods, anticipating long distances of nothing before arriving at the next sizable community, Agua Prieta, Sonora, including more bottled water. It was during the restful night that I realized that my age & sarcopenia was keeping me from cycling very fast, exacerbated by my usual 3-5 hour afternoon break in shade or a/c to avoid high mid-day heat. I altered my route (again) from thinking I'd pedal to Casa Grande on Ruta Diez, instead continuing West on Ruta Dos. I had used up the last of my pesos and needed to acquire more; there is an ATM about a half-mile away, which was kind of tucked out of the way beside the local police and I was able to find with assistance from the very friendly locals. I maxed out the amount I could get on my VISA debit card, thinking I'd need as much as possible over the next month to Tijuana/West Coast. To some travelers, this might rate 1 or 2 stars because there was no pool/hot tub/sauna, but it was absolutely fantastic for me! FIVE STARS and my hearty "WHEEL OF APPROVAL!" This community is great, and I look forward to returning, though not necessarily by Doublevision!

Had the call been earlier we probably would have changed hotels but it was a little late to find a place at that point. I was assuted someone would help with luggage. So we agreed to climb to the third floor. There was no one to assist with luggage When I entered the room I went to adjust the thermostat on the air conditioning system and the cover for the controls fell off in my hand. It was broken. Then I went into the bathroom and found there was no toilet paper holder. It had been pulled from the wall and removed from the room. When I advised the desk clerk that the holder was missing she said she would note it for maintenance. I think maintenance already knew or would have still been in the room. The bed must have been in that room for 15 years to have depressions as deep as it does. Likewise the pillows are little balls of something that are not very comfortable. There are no longer any amenities in the room such as makeup mirrors. We ask for at the front desk for a mirror but there were not available. It's as if the rooms have been stripped of all the things that used to be there for the convenience of the traveler. Primarily because of the elevator when we checked in we asked it was possible to get a discount on the room. We were advised that it would be difficult since we had paid in advance but that she would check with the manager. When I called about the toilet paper holder being missing again requested a discount because of the condition of the room and the elevator I got the same sndwer. At this point I've heard from no one about anything. None of these things would have been true in any of the Hampton inns I've stayed in before. It was very disappointing and my last day in a Hampton Inn.
