I'd been meaning to come here for a while and I wanted to compare it to the one in South City. Its definately not as good unfortunately. The lengua was bland, which is weird. The carne asada did not taste like regular carne asada and was like someone had dumped 10x the amount of black pepper into it to compensate for something. The salsa was OK, the chips are bargain basement food service chips though, kinda disappointing. read more

Super nice people. Chicken is so soft and moist. The price is good but they just raised it so it's hard to justify anymore coming here when I can go to the mission and get better for the same price. It's convenient though cuz I live down the street. read more

I've been here a few times, the place itself is nothing fancy. They have a salsa bar and menu is reasonably priced. People that work here are nice. They have simple and decent dining area. This time around I ordered through doordash and the food was on point. Everything came the way it was ordered. 1. Super chicken burrito - flavorful and perfect balance of chicken, rice, and beans etc. 2. Super carnitas burrito - Did not disappoint. It was a nice meaty burrito. So much that I could only eat half. I'll save the rest for later. It was such a messy goodness. 3. Chips and salsa for $4 on doordash not worth it. IMHO. Overall, great experience. It got the spot. read more

Such a yummy hole in the wall spot! Their selection is a good amount and I'm a sucker for their super tacos! They're also incredibly quick for a fast lunch. Their al pastor and carnitas super tacos never disappoint and they're so large! The amount of meat and other toppings they give is insane. I honestly could eat 1 super taco and I'd be set. I love how they include complimentary chips as well, I would definitely recommend this spot for anyone looking for a delicious and quick lunch. read more

Unfortunately I have to give a less than positive review. After being here several times, I must report that the food here is inconsistent. Sometimes it's good, more often it's lackluster at best. The service is always friendly and helpful, ready to make suggestions. My usual, lengua tacos, hasn't been that impressive. The woman behind the counter recommended a super burrito, so I asked for steak and shrimp. While the flavors were not bad, the steak was tough and the shrimp was rubbery. I may have to take a break from this spot for a bit. There really isn't much ambiance. It's a hole in the wall type place (I typically like those) but this place is different. Maybe it's the lights or the layout but it's not a place I'd want to sit and eat. I always get mine to go and eat in the car. Nonetheless, this place seems to be working out some kinks at the moment, so maybe hang back. read more

This "hole in the wall" business has been a staple of mine for many years due to its delicious tacos and burritos as well as great and friendly customer service. THEY TIPPED THEMSELVES $10. My total was $30 but my card was later changed $40 lol. THEY CHEATED ME. Street parking only and it's a very challenging area with lots of traffic so I'd recommend to park across the street, next to the Toyota dealer! Cashier didn't understand English very well so it took a lot of back and forth and confirmations to order 5 tacos. Service was great though; she was super friendly and tried her best. Price wise.. regular tacos are $4 and super tacos are $5.50. Super tacos were VERY generous in serving. And oily which made the tortillas super soggy. Fish tacos - Eh. Tasted everything in it except the fish. Shrimp tacos - Shrimps were seasoned well but very salty. Carnitas - Meat was seasoned well but a bit dry. read more

I've had the tacos and burritos from here, and the al pastor tacos are my favorite! You can either call in your order or walk in. They have tables inside to eat. The guy who always helps me is super nice and gives me free chips and salsa. They take apple pay which is very convenient. read more

Once again Yelp knows what's up. After looking for yummy Mexican, we saw this place pop up and decided to give it a try. They offer a ton of solid options which resulted in a fun indecisiveness rollercoaster (burrito...no taco...no quesadilla) to eventually go with the super veggie burrito enchilada style. I loooove that they have enchilada style, it just makes a great thing even better. Their burritos are thick and ginormous and 100% satisfying. Also their chips and salsa are yummy in the tummy. Me and the boyfriend can't decide on which salsa was the best. I'm team red and he's team green. We're both right. Also it wasn't expensive. Also also their seating area was clean and larger than I expected first walking in. Staff was friendly. Think that covers everything. read more

5.2.2023 Found a new taco join that is delish! Definitely is a hole in wall. Surrounded by auto shops on a busy road, it's easy to miss it. Ample enough seating areas. Two man crew. One takes the order and the other starts cooking. Seems like a family owned restaurant, but not 100% sure. Very generous amount of meat and toppings. I love their carne asada and chicken taco. So much flavor and the pieces are perfect bite size. I love my meat with texture rather than having tiny minced meat. I also tried their fish taco. A huge piece grilled, but was quite underwhelming. Needed more seasoning. Otherwise, very juicy. Get ready to get down and dirty when getting the fish taco! I've tried both regular and super taco. Because their portions are so huge, I found the regular tacos more enjoyable. Didn't need all the cheese, guacamole and sour cream. Just a classic taco with meat, cilantro and onions, and salsa. This was my go to spot for years until about almost couple of years ago when the 2 guys the cashier and cooked were gone. Quality of food went really down. Tried to order my super steak burrito after that and it was a disappointment. Today thought i would give it another try and ordered a super steak burrito to go and the place was dead all by myself and when I got home and started eating my burrito I realize they gave me a regular steak burrito. Staff was super nice. We had a nice conversation while I waited for my burrito. They recommended Al pastor, it was pretty good. I loved their rice though. There is no parking and it's on a busy street. There is a parking lot for other businesses near by but most spots had plaques reserving them for their specific business. Ate this a couple days before I had my transplant. It was a small little place, wasn't the prettiest inside, but it's not about what it looks like, it's all about the food and service for me. Upon walking in, I was greeted and helped, we placed our order over the phone so just had to pick up. My Tia got a chile verde burrito, I got asada tacos and my mom got an asada burrito. My Tia wasn't a fan of her chile verde burrito, but then again my Tia cooks and cooks everything fresh so it's hard to compete to her cooking lol. She's very picky, cause she knows how to cook well. My mom was so busy and nervous knowing I was about to go under the knife so she didn't even eat!! I however was a nervous wreck and all I could do was eat my feelings away plus I was gonna have to fast for my surgery. So I was enjoying what I could and to me the asada was flavorful, cut good, I just wasn't a fan of their corn tortillas they were a little under for me. I wish they were cooked a little longer and with a lil oil. If I was in the area I'd stop by to try something different and recommend to anyone in the area craving some good food. read more

Stumbled upon this place passing through town and looking for a "Bay Area burrito". This was one of the best Al Pastor super burritos of recent memory and possibly any memory. Absolutely delicious. The meat was well seasoned and cooked long enough to have firm edges for excellent texture. The beans and rice were creamy. The cilantro the sour cream. And then the salsas. I'm a sauce guy and it can make or break a taqueria experience. These were some very tasty salsas. The green avocado cilantro salsa and then the orange colored, smooth textured hot salsa. Simply amazing. Not much seating, very simple atmosphere of a bonafide taqueria. I would recommend this place to anyone. Authentic and memorable flavors. Thanks Los metates! read more

Taco tasting in Daly City. We ordered al pastor, carnitas, and carne asana. The Al pastor was juicier than I expected. Carne asana average to kinda dry. Carnitas was good. The one thing that caught my attention was how dead the restaurant was. When we entered I wasn't sure if they were open or not. I'd come back if I were in the neighborhood or lived in Daly City. Their camarones al mojo de ajo is soo delicious! I love wrapping them in tortillas and make a multitude of tacos. Then I dunk them back into its flavorful sauce. When eating be sure to request, salsa picanta, chili verde, and pico de gallo. They also have jalapeños if you ask. Their tacos are decent too! read more

This place is legit! I got 3 carne asada tacos and it definitely hit the spot. Portion of meat was very generous, tacos were soft, and you can definitely tell all the ingredients are fresh! If they sold the salsa verde in a big tub, I'd totally buy it lol Please give them a try! read more

Ummmmm... AMAZING. This was my treat after an intense workout session over at Planet Fitness. It was worth every bit of calories. There was shrimp in every bite, flavor to savor, and a good price. After a long morning of Christmas shopping, we were starving and needed some good food fast! While this is certainly not the first place that jumps out due to it's location, we're glad we stumbled upon it! The portions of both the Super Burrito and the Enchilada Style Burrito were HUGE. I somehow finished mine, while my wife save half of hers for a snack later on. The chips were average and the meat could have used a little extra flavor, but overall it was a great and filling meal. This place is a hidden gem in Daly City! Location is right across the street from a car dealership and there isn't much parking right in front, but definitely make sure to come here! 1. The amount of food for the price is absurd. You get so much! This burrito is larger than my face and almost intimidating how large it is 2. The foods delicious! We came here today after a trip to Home Depot down the street and ordered tacos... they were delicious. But the best part about coming here was the pretty lady working and taking our order / serving us. She was so warm and friendly. I don't think I've ever seen such a friendly person working at any taqueria ever.... I felt so compelled to write this review because of her. She was by far the best taqueria employee I've ever encountered, ever, because of her warm, upbeat, and friendly personality. I wish my bf could have tipped her more. read more

Had to grab some Mexican food for cinco de mayo! Parking can be hard to find and restaurant is pretty small with limited tables but the food was lit! I had the chicken "super quesadilla" and it tasted extremely fresh! FYI: Corn/flour quesadilla = only cheese Super quesadilla = meat and cheese Marina quesadilla = shrimp My wife had the steak tacos and they came in a good serving size. She asked for the guacamole on the side so she can enjoy it with her chips. We will definitely be back! read more

The ambiance is very festive and there were plenty of people coming in and out. We dined in and found myself wishing they gave real silverware rather than plastic. We were only give one real fork for the fish and it was difficult to break apart. Their plastic cutlery was also pretty flimsy so we mostly ate with our hands. Overall, I'd still come back and try other dishes.

The shrimp cocktail had a lot of shrimp, avocado, and cucumber which was delicious. But the actual cocktail juice was light in flavor. Because we took it to go I was able to doctor it up with some extra cocktail sauce, horseradish, hot sauce and lemon. I also loved that they serve saltines with their shrimp cocktail because some places just give chips. The fried fish was delicious and unfortunately I wasn't able to try the aguachilles before they ran out which might mean they were good.

The food is usually fresh and hot but I know this was sitting out on the table for someone to come along and take it. I've been going here since high school, now a days, it feels a little different.

Michelada came in a frosty AF mug which is reason in and of itself to come by. So good.

I didn't know this and ordered it with no beans. It was massive I couldn't pick it up and started eating it like nachos with the chips. It was almost like a taco salad because it even had lettuce. They did not skimp on the meat or toppings. I'll definitely be back.
