A+ -We ordered a garden salad and beets for appetizers. My wife loved the salad and I loved the beets. -For my main entree, I ordered the rib eye, well done. It was cooked perfectly, with a touch of pink on the inner cuts. Best piece of meat I've had since I came to Mexico 5 months ago! -The steaks are big, meant to be shared. Great place to come with some hungry meat-loving guys and gals : ) -I also ordered a side of fries--they were delicious, but my wife ate most of them : ) She ordered the lentil soup and LOVED it. I'm still feeling a little giddy! This place is very good. The prices are high, but worth every penny : ) Highly, highly recommended!!

Here's a funny thing, 130 grados is a steak house and they are one of the best, my other favorite…read morebeing Cienfuegos. I think they are owned by the same company. But the vibe here is different, its more a classic upscale steakhouse that will seat you if you arrive in sandals and shorts, The food is generally fantasitic, with surprise hits like the lentil soup and roasted beets being simply spectacular. It can run a bit pricey for Merida but it is also one of the better meals you will find with a truly attentive and courteous staff.

Oh, and did I mention the house margarita to go packaged in cute little 1/2 pint glass flask with a cork seal? Ja, perfecto! Not cheap, but not bad at under $800p and a gastronomic delight from start to finish

We were seated in the outdoor courtyard which was nice on this cool December night. We started with drinks. My wife got an excellent cosmo and I got a glass of wine. They have a very complete mixed drink menu. I ordered the grouper with capers and my wife the filet with mushroom sauce. My fish was delicious. It was flash fried, a light crispy crust, and very moist. It was served over a bed of mixed vegetables. My wife loved her filet. Perfectly cooked with a lot of flavor. Our waiter Rueben was great and provided excellent service. We met the owner as we left and she was very friendly. Best meal in Progreso.

I asked for a cut of steak to have marveling and I think they took this to mean the one with the most gristle. While going to the restroom I saw that they cook over a grill which looked like it hadn't been cleaned since the Mayan temples were built. He coals were hit but there was no way to control the temperature. There were not temperature zones and all the meats and veggies mixed together. I asked to have my steak reheated. Not a complaint mind you I just eat slow and sometimes I need it thrown on the grill to reheat. They brought it back on a bread plate?! I have been to Mortons, Lowry's, Flemmings, Ruth Chris, and House of Prime Rib In San Francisco this is the McDonald's of steakhouses. If your looking for "Prime" steak look elsewhere. 3 stars for service and dessert.

It was not work it. They have other flatbread on the menu I hope they are not using pita chips. The fried calamari was good. The antipasto burrata was not a present nicely, needed more flavor, like more pesto sauce over the burrata and the pieces of the antipasto cut smaller which was only fried tomatoes and prosciutto in large pieces.
