Great Estate Planning Support!!!…read more I moved from out of state and had to have all of my estate planning documents updated per California law. Daniel Hollingsworth came highly recommended from friends, and I was able to quickly pass him my expired estate/trust documents to 1) make them CA-compliant and 2) also insert my own needed updates to reflect my current estate situation. After he had a chance to review my expired estate plan, I met with Daniel; he explained the differences between my previous state's laws and CA law, the changes he recommended and the rationale for each change. I found his opinions to be very insightful and appreciated the examples and scenarios he gave me to consider for each change. Daniel really put me at choice--and I felt I really understood my choices. I appreciated his explanations and the professionalism he exhibited in dealing with some touchy/feely family considerations too. Daniel and his staff quickly turned around my estate plan, and then he met with me and my young adult daughter so that I could sign off the final documents. He made the sign off quick for me, and yet very understandable for my daughter, who is one of my trustees. He also offered to do the same walk-through of documents for my adult son (also a trustee, but unavailable that day)--and it was so helpful to have everyone feel competent and confident in executing the estate plan together. I recommend Daniel for anyone who needs an estate plan/trust.  It was a night/day difference between his support and my previous experience out-of-state--and motivated me to write this recommendation. In fact, I'm referring my brother to him, as he is in the same process and I know Daniel is someone he can trust and depend on. Laura -- Pacific Grove

The passing of a relative can be a difficult time,…read more A very difficult time. We remembered the first thing you have to do is to "tell your attorney". So, in a bit of a daze, we walked over to Noland Hamerly to see Leslie Finnegan, whom we had not seen for a year or more. "Leslie is on vacation" said the lady at the desk. "But it looks important from the look on your faces". We explained as best we could. "Let me try to find her", said the lady on the desk reaching for the phone. "Hello, it's Leslie" came the reply. We blurted out what was on our minds "I'm strapped into an airplane seat in Alabama" she said "and the flight attendants are calling for a takeoff. Let me get to the end of the journey in 90 minutes or so and I will immediately find you". And so she did M and I have worked with Leslie on several matters over several years. She has always produced quality work at a reasonable price. We could not ask for kinder, better help

This firm might as well change their specialty to that of all the ambulance chasing injury…read moreattorneys you see on the TV commercials. I paid one of their staff members, Leslie Finnegan $3000 to draw up a simple trust to make sure my loved ones got the distribution I wanted to give them, A little later some circumstances had changed and I called Finnegan to ask about making some changes, I was happy of course to pay for any updates, but I didnt even get the chance to ask about them. As soon as I asked for a schedule of potential fees Finnegan dropped me as a client. Apparently she wanted to bill me for outlining any potential fees that might occur. I found it a bit ludicrous having to be billed to explain what my billing would be, I realize people don't go to law school with the intent to eventually actually help people, but I find this practice to be a bit excessive. When she dropped me as a client I inquired as to what the justification was. She ranted on quite vehemently about how her time was worth $550 an hour, and not waste her time with questions, it is clear what her priorities are. It is certainly not helping a senior citizen family man take care of his loved ones. I would not recommend Leslie Finnegan or the firm she works for even if you put a gun to my head.
