Wandering around Kent with my Witchy Writer Friend, we found this place hidden in plain sight…read moreacross from the Library. We had to go in. It was light, airy, and friendly. We were greeted at the door, invited to wander, and left to browse. A large number of crystals of all varieties took one display case; one wall was filled with tarot cards, of every pattern you could imagine; Candles, incense and essential oils were another large display. In the entry room, some very nice peasant-style clothing, mostly natural fibers (including that day, hemp), and a number of local natural products. This is also where they display their secondary line, which is pre-stained recycled barn boards, The shop also does readings, and there were several people who came in for those while we were there. The reader had a nice comfortable room in the back for those who wanted their future revealed. All in all, a nice place to visit, and I'm making it a point to try to visit again the next time I'm in Kent.

Stopped in for the first time last week, and it won't be the last! Folks at another shop mentioned…read morethem as possibly having some interesting clothes (I was shopping for something to wear to an event), and while they definitely do have a room with some beautiful and unusual clothes, of course there is a great assortment of Tarot cards, some Tarot resources, and jewelry, tumbled rocks, and other things we can't remember. The owner, Regina, was friendly & helpful, answered my questions, made suggestions, although not in any kind of sales-pressure way. Her Tarot display is especially friendly & unusual in that there are two different ways to view samples/examples of a lot of the decks. There's a nicely appointed back room where we presume the readings and similar events take place. We've already been telling some friends about this store, and look forward to returning!

I came to this museum as part of the Art Trail Passport program, although there's not an admission…read morefee so... This does not help the Passport pay for itself. The museum is on St. Joseph's campus, and there is a handy map by the parking lot if the black banners pointing to the Art Gallery allude you, as they did me. It's a lovely campus, very austere buildings but was really quiet. They seem to use Gallery and Museum interchangeably. There are signs directing you to both and perhaps I have made a classic "whoops", but I didn't see anything about a gallery once I entered the (impressive) foyer of the building. I did see a sign for the art museum to my right though. The museum is about five rooms and must rotate their collection periodically, as well as having a main exhibit in the front room. There are benches to rest or be entranced by art in two or three of the rooms. They had some lovely pieces, although I do wish they had more background on some of their signs.
