When they (Insurance) were recommending us to somewhere else, she said Charleston is where they would accept us. We won't take it because it's far. When we said this, she smirked. {I was talking with my Mom, and the girl butted in the conversation} the girl said "Ma'am (to me), your Dad also asked about marriage counseling". I wanted to say something, because she presumed that my parents needed marriage counseling. My Dad never asked about marriage counseling. She was very disrespectful. One (1) star doesn't cut it. Whether you are vulnerable, disabled, ill and or operating on the behalf of a loved one -- please, I beg of you to spare yourself the additional residual pain and discomfort of wasting your time and hope. I have been in the just excruciating process with Jonathan (better known as JR) and his staff. Not limited to or excluding: continual 6/7 week gaps of communication/correspondence, being hung up on when professional rapport was provided, and certainly last but not least having the integrity of my SSA case be compromised and sabotaged due to my recommendation of being redirected to another agency for assistance. I began acquisition with JR Disability in Feb 2024. It was brought to my attention that he was not a legal attorney, yet was assured that his case wins were high and that I was in good hands. NEGATIVE! Please please please locate an *actual attorney* with legal *and professional (bedside as well) awareness. I was disregarded, minimized and derailed all in one professional, and vulnerable setting. I called for a withdrawal in January, was denied in February and all the while -- my withdrawal letter was finally forwarded to me *after* the appeal date of post 60 days. Quite uncanny considering I had to cordially invite him as well as beg him to withdraw (clearly not in a timely manner) that has moreover, forfeited my right to appeal and will furthermore have to reinvest a whole additional year plus into this process. I must aforemention that there is an obvious racial climate and tension when speaking to JR, despite my possessing degrees with executive level experience (disclosing my loss and quality of life to him,) I without a doubt felt the nuance once I revealed that about myself, and that I do (in fact) expect standard operational procedures and protocol to be upheld with diligence, amid handling me as an individual as well as my case. SPITEFUL AND UNPROFESSIONAL, TO SAY THE LEAST. If you are looking for a seamless experience... this is certainly not it. I should have backed out when it was brought to my attention that his credential reside as "advocate" and cannot perform at the proficiency of a legal attorney; simply ready to collect the percentage!. What a GREAT JOB HE AND HIS STAFF DID ON MY CASE. They were very professional and thorough. I know he went through all my medical records completely because he knew things contained in their that I did not. Also he knows what each Judge will usually focus on and in my case the Judge looked heavily at work history. I am very sure if it wasn't for Mr. Jonathan Rutherford and the statement he made at the end of my hearing to the Judge I would not have been approved. This is why YELP is such a bad forum for feedback as any jackalope may go on and post a rant or complaint against any business without any basis for an actual complaint. Our Firm did not lose very many hearings in 2021. We certainly did not lose a claim for a client with the name of "Dave" or "David."
