Well, I don't even know where to start. We were just staying for a couple nights in Hamburg and…read morethought that we'd be fine in a cheap place. "You get what you pay for" couldn't fit any better. The place was not even just dirty, it was horrific. It desperately needs a good remodel where the walls are stripped and re-done and the floors as well, the furniture has stains and so has the bed. The problem is really the attitude of the staff. While we were checking out our room (we had the door open) we could hear a small family walk by, the son looked into our room and said "mom look how clean their room is"... I was horrified. We merely sat on the bed since we were exhausted and the hotel wouldn't refund us our money. I went downstairs to the reception (the only somewhat clean area in the entire building) to deal with the refund and encountered the previously seen family attempting to also get a refund and leave. They were willing to sleep in their car instead of this dump. The hotel wouldn't give us a refund for that night even though we were just there for about 20 minutes. I took whatever refund I could and we left that place. The bathroom was disgusting, it was the worst I have ever seen and nothing I expected in a place like Germany where everything is usually quite clean. While I was downstairs dealing with the refund my wife sat down in a chair. A maintenance man just unlocked the door, walked in and said "oh someone's here, uhm I'm just checking this adjacent room from yours". Unbelievable.

I booked 10 rooms for our Princess Tour while we were in Hamburg. The hotel was nice, and clean as…read moreone would expect. However, when checking out I was sort of attacked by the front desk lady as I had left one of my room key cards in my room. She made me go back and get it - as otherwise, she would penalize me. I was shocked. I can not recall that someone dared to talk to me like this in front of my staff. She made me look as if I had attempted to steal the crown jewels. Despite I liked the hotel, it is very unlikely I would go there again, especially as it was difficult to book in the first place.
