All you can drink wine -- "je voudrais un verre de vin rouge (ou blanc)" was the first French phrase the non French speakers learned. And probably remembered. Haha. This is an Irish pub, so it's definitely a great option for tourists that are vacationing and do not speak an ounce of French. We were seated upstairs, came back down to order, and before we could even speak, the bartender announced they were "closing." It quickly became clear that the bar wasn't actually closing at all -- the other guests were still being served and having a great time. The only difference? We were Americans. We were told point-blank that the bar was closing "for us," while the rest of the patrons stayed comfortably seated. The staff directed only us to leave, without explanation beyond that. It was an incredibly uncomfortable and humiliating experience -- not something anyone expects to encounter in 2025, especially in a city known for its international visitors. If you're an American traveler, I'd strongly suggest spending your time and money somewhere that values hospitality and basic respect for all guests. There are plenty of wonderful places in Cannes that welcome people from around the world. Sadly, this is not one of them.
