Customer Service is horrible. After calling to see if they need a reservation for the club and was told no reservation needed. Invited few friends over, by the time we got there around 1:00 pm the rude short bouncer at the door refused to get us in due NOT having reservation!!!! Besides being rude he was very insulting. The ambiance is great! Beautiful as expected from this caliber restaurant/club. It's similar to the one in Miami. The bartender lights the bar on fire. Super fun to watch. Music is great. Food is delicious but very pricy. One martini cost 25€. I ordered fish and an appetizer, my total bill for one person was 135€. All that is fine but for an establishment that wants to be in the elite group of entertainment and service, their customer service is seriously lacking. (1) they offer no bags for your to go order. You have to carry the boxes and balance it in your hands. (2) waiters make you feel terrible for wanting to take home your leftovers. (3) waiters have no idea how the food is prepared or what to suggest. (4) zero help on the drinks from the waiters. And if you don't like your drink, no options for them to change it or even add juice without charging extra for it. I hope management reads this review and makes some changes. Take your money where the customer service is top of the line and not where they discriminate and charge you upfront based on where you come from and your skin color. Absolutely rude manger Laura. I agree with the comment below that this place is rude to Americans / Asians. This place is not doing well. It is more than 75% empty. No wonder, Laura has tricks under her sleeves. She discriminates between Americans and Asians and charges 60 Euros upfront while some French teenagers who cannot even afford this place do not have to pay the upfront charge. I called the Baoli phone number and talked to the manager of the restaurant who hung up the phone on me. Gave me a covid excuse giving Laura the leash to do what she wants and keep discriminating her customers to bring the income for the business. How is Covid applicable to me while it was not applicable to other groups and other parties similar size as mine or larger and who walked in to have a good time. A lot of bias and discrimination going on at this Place. Take your hard earned money somewhere else who knows what customer service is. And to the CEO and owner of Baoli read the book Four Seasons and have everyone on your team read this book by Isadore Sharp on what customer service is and how you build a brand. Contact me ASAP if you do care even a bit and happy to go over every single thing that took place so you can fix your system and procedures to get some happy clients who will root for you. As far as nightlife goes, this is supposed to be happening place. TOP 40. Not, I am not referring to top restaurants in Cannes, but their music selection. Kygo, Guetta, occasional Katy Perry. Who are we kidding, even as you are walking down the riviera, you can hear music blasting from here even far away. CAFE DEL MAR? Not quite the same as the legendary Ibiza spot, but nonetheless a great spot to see the sunset. Very romantic, lots of yachts floating by. Came here right before sunset and I'll tell you, if you want to see the sunset and have drinks, probably not many better places. DONT EAT HERE. It's not that the food was bad, but the upcharge is insane. I think I came out with a tab close to 600 euros for two people, having drank only one bottle of the base Moët Chandon. You could eat at many great 2+ star Michelin starred restaurants for this much. Food was good, they fillet the fish right by the table, but price is per gram, so it adds up very very quickly. SERVICE WAS SUCH A MESS. Our waiter just randomly leaves and does not come back. Next waiter comes and says we have to leave because sunset is over and table is reserved for dinner! Hahahah, what? Obviously I didn't leave but had to talk to the manager and it was just frustrating. So apparently this is the place where celebrities go to and my coworker and I decided to check this place out in the middle of night to have further drinks after a long stressful work weekday. We were instantly denied access, but then again we were in work clothing so it wasn't anything too fancy. My coworker was wearing his best shirt too! To get into this establishment, it seems you would have to be a 20/10 for a female, and yes, that is for one person and a decked out baller for a male. I will probably come back and try again with my three piece suit and rolex. We just left the establishment and decided to walk back home. On our way out of the parking lot, which was big, there were also apparently a parking space for yachts too. The parking lot is also gated. I will show them next time how important I am when I come in an Air Force One plane and show them who the real peasants are. Anyways, the walk home wasn't too bad since we saw some of Cannes at night and it was along the French Riviera. Still, 2/5, would not do again unless I have a friend who really wants to get kicked out of a club without setting foot in it and walking back home. read more

This is the hottest place in Cannes. We normally come here for dinner and the cool ambiance. The outdoor seating patio is very nicely decorated and the food is very good. I normally come here for dinner and then go into the night club and get a table. You will not have to change venues if you come here. It's ideal but a little expensive. This place does get crowded so I suggest making a reservation. There is a dress code and also valet in front. read more

Let's start with positives: the food is decent and the atmosphere is cool. The. Hold out is first rate. The negatives are the service is awful. One of worst I have ever experienced in Europe. They brought my drinks with the ice completely melted. I asked the guy what was up and he said it's hot. I explained it was either it sat at bar too long or was someone else's drink and the waiter told me take it out leave it. Hmm, not sure that is how you treat a customer that had spent over 200€ per person to that point of meal; all I can say is it is 3rd spot I have eaten here and by far the most underwhelming meal and service. Poor service, expensive without being anyhing extra and waiters that lies about the bill just to get more tip. On top of that, Baoli seems to attract a younger crowed. I've been there several of times the past 15 years and it has def been better. This is the third time i feel robbed; once they drew my card twice, second time they snook in an extra sushi plate on the bill which wasnt ordered and we payed for it and didnt noticed until afterwords, third time (now) lying about the bill only to get more tip. We were a party of about twenty guests. We come every year post a convention. This year the food was good but the service was despicable. Waiters ignored our requests for water, never offered us more wine, and then overcharged Us. After many disputes with the manager, we were forced to pay for food that was not ours, over €1000 bill. The Baoli is special and deserves its 4 stars. You will either love it or hate it. To some extent it's a bit like an attraction in Cannes, as you may take the kids to Marineland during the day to seen jumping dolphins, you can take your friends to the Baoli in the evening to see a glittery local crowd jumping up and down to the sound of loud commercial music in a rather spectacular restaurant and club setting. The Baoli is a great place for a dinner with friends, but make sure that anything you see around you can take with a pinch of salt and you will have a fabulous time. Lots of people take themselves seriously there, especially those girls who are focused on showing the best parts of their tan and long legs on high heels, but there are worst scenes to watch The food is pretty good (mix of Asian and provencal influences), the atmosphere is hot, buzzy, sparkling and electric, and everyone is there to have fun, show off Riviera-style (ie I am more tanned than you and my Rolex is bigger than yours) but it is overall fun. Make sure you plan to brind cash or your gold credit card as it's not cheap but hey it's a holiday right? read more

this place is overrated on yelp. its nice but not so hip and cool. mostly just filled with middleaged english and arabs. the food is quite nice, though. i had the chateaubriand. it was cooked well and served well, but was tough meat. possibly not the best cut for 77 euro. the bar was nicely lit and cool. i would come back, someday. read more
