I had embraced fully the Florida dress style - shorts, summer collared & T-shirts with keen sandals/boat shoes. A smart dress savvy lady named "Julie" assisted my wife and I in finding all the proper clothes needed to wear to a pre-wedding social dinner and the actual wedding event both at "The Inn at Middleton Place," SC. I can't thank her enough for the time she spent with me and my wife getting the combinations of clothes that I could mix and match and saved a lot of money at the same time too. The Shop Manager "Ken" was able to get the suit Jacket sent from Texas over the weekend the day prior to us leaving and saved me in the end from my own procrastination. This was not a lace dress or one multiple layers of tulle/ballgown style. Unfortunately, when I picked up the dress, it was way too short and you could see the tops of my toes. I wore the same heels for the appointment where they pinned the dress for hemming and when I picked it up after it was hemmed. The dress was over hemmed by approximately two inches. I went from wearing a pair of 3.5 inch heels to having to find a pair of kitten heels in order to make things work. This was very disappointing. While I voiced my concerns of "is this too short?" in the store, I didn't really raise a fuss. I had to pay when I dropped the dress off, before the work was done, so it was already paid for....and what would the solution be, anyway? The fabric can't be put back on once it's cut off. I am, however, giving two stars instead of zero because the service was fast with a quick turnaround to pick up my dress, and overall reasonably priced.
