First like most I never write reviews but enough is enough and corporate needs to know. I have been…read morea member/customer of best fitness for over 20 years. I have paid for membership and years of training. I go to all four of there gyms but Nashua has the rudest and most unprofessional General Manager ( RICH ) I have ever met. I can't believe he is still employed. He argues in the open in front of customers and employees with you. He is arrogant and rude all the time. I have never seen him in a positive mood. I have had three conversations with him over the years. The first one I asked him a question about changing the station on the TV over 5 years ago and he rudely refused with an attitude. I was totally respectful when I asked and he always has a demeaning comment to make after you ask or suggest something. I did not argue with him but went to cancel my membership and one of the corporate members were there and talked me out of it. Second issue I had maybe three years ago I asked another question related to the steam room and again made a rude comment back to me and used the F bomb and said he did not F--- care about it. I reported him to corporate again and avoided the Nashua gym for two years and then finally went back as the other locations are further away and was hoping the company trained him to be more professional. Well I was wrong as today I made a suggestion to him and he again made a rude sly comment back to me instead of being professional and then escalated the situation into full blown argument in the lobby. Im sure it was embarrassing for the employees and customers but not for him as he did not care at all and when I said I am cancelling my long term membership he said I will gladly do it for you and I am not holding you hear. That's not how you keep customers or treat them. He should have asked me to meet him in private in his office and discussed this like professionals and adults instead of acting like a child and escalating the situation and not valuing a long term customer who has spent a lot of money and recruited over 20 other family and fiends who I will convinced to cancel also. So sad! He should be fired and I never want to get anyone fired but he does not deserve to hold this position if you can't compose yourself as manager.

I spoke with staff member, Amanda, who gave me a card to make checking in easy each visit. Great staff and facility. Love this gym and will continue to use as long as they allow me.

Catherine Duggan of Finding True North Coaching truly has been a light in the darkness for me…read more When I have needed guidance, Catherine has been there for me. She doesn't tell me what to do, but instead listens and offers ideas. She helps me to think through possible outcomes and offers practical, achievable steps I can take to accomplish my goal, however simple or complex. Catherine has been an important accountability partner for me; she helps to keep me on track in a gentle, encouraging way through regular check-ins using whatever technology makes sense at the time - phone, video, text, email. I live in Florida, and while some coaches might use this as a reason to not accept me as a client or to have minimal contact, Catherine leverages technology in a way that helps me feel extremely connected and valued. She celebrates my successes and gives me an extra push when I need it. For some people, their work is merely a job and they switch off at the end of the day. However, Catherine's coaching is her calling. She genuinely cares about the health, happiness and progress of others. She thinks of how to help you, even when you aren't in the middle of a coaching session. This may manifest in extra questions to learn more about your goals or a situation you've discussed with her, or she may share an exercise to help you think through a topic. Catherine's toolbox of resources is forever growing. She not only has the mind of a teacher, she has the heart of a sweet friend, even if you've just met. In full transparency, I have known Catherine personally for over 20 years and I have witnessed this in every situation I've seen her interact. She has a strong, authentic drive to help others. For awhile I have dealt with anxiety, and although this is not an area where Catherine had been previously trained, she reached out to a social worker on my behalf and researched tools that I could use when I felt anxious. She walked through them with me and followed up later to see if they were helpful or if we needed to continue searching for more information. Having some go-to actions I could take before, during and after an anxiety attack have helped greatly and have actually lessened the frequency of their occurrence. (Please note that coaching sessions with Catherine should not be used as a replacement for sessions with a licensed mental health professional; however, our coaching sessions, combined with regularly meeting with a licensed counselor have both helped me to work through issues and find support exactly where I've needed it. Our mental health is important and should be treated as such!) If you feel that you want to achieve more in life, but you need help discovering what that is, you feel stuck, or you already know the goals you'd like to accomplish but want a champion who will help keep you fired up to reach your potential, I highly encourage you to contact Catherine Duggan at Finding True North Coaching for a consultation. How will you know if you don't try?
